Annnd we're done! And so ends another fantastic Reaction Sir! And a great episode. I'm gonna say , I am not used to wondering/worrying who's gonna live or die in things I watch , so this show is stressing me the fuck out! lol Ok , time to finish Black Widow , then Dexter tomorrow if my brain remembers correctly. : ] Porter: [voiceover] "Not many people know what their life's worth is. I do. Seventy grand. That's what they took from me. And that's what I was going to get back." Peace

You are being a bit too hard on that guy. His character is there to drive home the extreme losses of Bastogne. I doubt the real guy was running around naming every missing person. He is just a plot device to show how damaged the platoon is and how mentally done all of the guys are after Bastogne. Plus, when you think about it. The platoon was being tough on Webster. Treating him like a replacement even though he went through the initial training with them, jumped on D-Day, got shot during Market Garden. He wasn't a scrub but they treated him like one.

Any chance of subtitles on the video like the previous episodes? Dankeshon

Cannot wait for next week! Without a doubt the best episode of the show for me, can’t help but shed a tear every time I watch it.

Charles Brackett

The "refreshed" guy asking where every one was is understandable. The ones he's asking about could have been killed yes, but they could have gotten injured or promoted and transferred, who knows unless you ask. He just wanted to be accepted again seeing as how he was there through everything but Bastogne. The Lt isn't just looking for honor and glory. He's looking for hands on experience knowing that his time is limited to do so seeing as how the war is coming to an end. Jones was able to learn more than enough in his short time with Easy. He got experience, he saw Winters act like a leader should and he saw the bond of his subordinates and how important it was.

Jackson's death in the book was SO much worse. He got shrapnel lodged in his brain and was fine at first. He was even standing and walking. Then his head started to hurt and hurt to the point he was begging to be shot while waiting for a medic to arrive. The men kept telling him he would be fine and to hold one till the medics arrived, but by the time they did, it was too late and he died on the stretcher while being evacuated to the aid station.
