Bruce's parents deaths is what led to his hatred of criminals, and he's never got over his fear of bats, he uses his fear to make criminals afraid. its one of the most interesting things about him.

The death of his parents is also why he does not use a gun , and will not kill. However , in the early Detective Comics 1939-1940 , he did use guns now and then , and he did kill. Once they introduced Robin , the the editor decided that he would no longer kill , and not use any weapons like guns. Although Batman has broken his "no guns" rule in extreme circumstances. BTW , try some DCAU films. The Dark Knight Returns is IMO , one of the 3 best Batman movies I have ever seen. ; ]

It will be interesting to see if he stays with DC. And if so , how far back should he go? Or , should he just go from MOS/Snyderverse? Just curious what you think he should do. Although there are many novels that have been done , an I do have a good amount of those. And one of my besties collected since he was a kid and he's now , so it's like having a living Batman Wiki page if I have a question: ] Sir , you are gonna love this one. Even though I am as burned out on Marvel and most super hero nonsense at you are, i do think once you finish the Nolan Batman movies, you might want to watch The Penguin series. I think most people weren't expecting much out of that series and I think most people were blown away by it. Add it to your list. Only 8 episodes so it won't bog you down.

mmm i think till atleast batman v superman and maybe he’ll watch all batman movies and superman. definitely gotta get both suicide squads in there and i think he would enjoy peacemaker if he was looking for a dc show to start on especially with new season coming out. but also i like the new batman with robert pattinson and he likes investigating/spy movies so id think he would like that one also. penguin is popping too and i think its either penguin or peacemaker as the best dc show. but i like all of them tbh so ill watch all of them more than likely lol. maybe throw in batman the killing joke and maybe some og poison ivy she was the 💩 when i was younger.

So which are better Captain America: First Avenger and Winter Soldier? Or Batman Begins and Dark Knight? Personally it's gotta be Batman for me, but it's really close. Those 4 movies are almost perfect.

I was a bit disappointed when older Bruce first went into the cave and you weren't disgusted that he was sliding down what had to be years of bat crap. You picked up the fumbled ball later when you mentioned he should NOT build his base in that bat guano infested place. lol.

Not necessary. I haven't seen it. It just adds a slight amount of backstory that isn't necessary because we see what happened in the flashback.

love batman and super man I have like all movies and tv show box sets. If you liked this You got too react too the very first and second original batman movies with micheal keaton I like keep going back and watching them after I watch the new ones there awsome.

I guess maybe you get a lot of comments but I've never seen hardly anyone hating on Nolan. If they do, they are morons. This is a super hero movie based on a comic book. Of course the dialog is going to be full of ideological language with strong righteous and villainous stereotypes. That's just a typical super hero movie. The Nolan movies you have reviewed so far, were beloved by most people. Now if you ever get around to Tenet, the conversation changes. In fact, you do need to get around to that one because there were some clear mistakes made with the filming aspect, mainly the sound editing. And the sound was on purpose but a lot of people didn't like it.

Am I the only one that feels the movie audio is way too loud? It was distorted most of the time. I had to put a compressor on just to put everything down and hear you. You might want to check your mix a bit :)

just finished re-watching, Mr Boyd i thought since Rachel dies in the Dark Knight you would be kinder to her in this film but nope lol. though i do got to admit the way she bounced between Bruce and Harvey in that movie does make her pretty unlikable.

Definitively Cap and WS. And I'm saying that specifically because I'm a DC fan. Dark Knight is a fantastic movie, but there's not much Batman to it.

I've always been conflicted about these because I'm a big Batman fan and you can tell that Nolan really wanted to make a James Bond movie. Like there's not much Batman to this series in the original sense, but the first two are good movies.

It's a good thing you saw The Godfather first. Modern adaptations of Batman are heavily influenced by the excellent comic book The Long Halloween, which in turn draws from The Godfather. I'd highly recommend it for anyone who's interested in Batman

Yeah, I have not heard anyone outright hate Nolan, they might be a bit nitpicky with some of his films, but no one can deny he is a great filmmaker. As for the sound yes some parts were muffled in Tenet, but the sound mix in my theatre was great, the story on the hand could have taken a bit more time to explain the concept, but I dont know if the film time restriction, during the pandemic had anything to do with the editing and we will never know because Nolan does not do directors cuts.
