“Oniony type of revenge type of things”… Mr B. Have you done the Bourne trilogy? Have to go back and check your catalogue, but also The Prestige and The Illusionist both come to mind (and ironically are often mixed up). Knives out has a sequel literally called “the glass onion”. Those just come to mind first. I’ll have to come up with a revenge / mystery list now 😀

not sure how true it is but i heard jamie foxx made them change the ending so he would win when in the script they had clyde getting away and never getting caught. either way would have been the better ending and could have made for more movies

I had never heard the before reading your comment. (And I do love me some movie trivia) So , intrigued , I did some research and here's what I found out. According to various people who worked on the film , it is not true. However , the story did go through numerous iterations during shooting ,though most of the other planned endings still resulted in Clyde's death. Although one proposed ending saw Nick actually killing Clyde by hand, resulting in him ending up in jail and making a deal with the DA, effectively turning him into the new Clyde and ensuring that the cynical, corrupt legal system continues to perpetuate. Peace : ]

Allright! Time for some fun!!! Been hoping this one would get picked , as I think this may be right up your alley Sir. And also , I love a good revenge flick; ] (Although Death Wish('74) , Death Sentence , and an obscure 80's one called Ms. .45 are some of my top favorites) It think it moves well , has a great cast , and some wicked good special effects. Butler and Foxx have some great chemistry going a well. Ok , Checklist Time! - Fatty rolled and ready - Check - Eatables eaten - Check - Smokes and Zippo - Check. Lets get this goin!! Peace

Annnd we're done! Great reaction Sir!! I loved you comments when you saw Lionsgate btw. lol And it hooked you early the same way when I first watched it. And if you want to see Foxx really act , watch Ray - 2004. It's a biopic about Ray Charles. Foxx won an Oscar for Best Actor in '05 for it. And Foxx does play all the piano in the film.: ] You might try Inside Man for a watch for a good mystery/heist film. I think you would dig it. Ok , just a couple Fun Facts for this one - When the MPAA first screened the film , they gave it an NC17 rating for the stabbing of the cellmate. After that scene was cut down to what we saw , it got an R. The bluray does have an unrated version with 10 more minutes.(More gore , and some extra character scenes.) - Del Frisco's is a real restaurant in Philly. They director ate there a few times during films , and they had the after party there after a screening at the Philly Film Fest. And according to their web site , Clyde's meal , The porterhouse - 89 - Lobster mac and cheese - 27 - asparagus - 17 - 30% tip - 39.90 - 172.90 today. : ] Thanks as always for a great reaction Sir. : ] Peace

I haven’t watched reaction videos in a good while but when I saw this movie reacted to by you… I had to watch bc this movie is right up your alley lol. I’m ready! Let’s go!

Im glad they didnt go with that last bit lol. Yeah I had a feeling Jamie Foxx had no say in the ending. I think it would have been a better ending had he just kill Jamie and got away to make more movies honestly. This ending works tho lol

MRLBOYD

The Bourne trilogy is here on Patreon and The Prestige is also here

Distantnova

I probably commented on them too 😵‍💫🤣. Sorry, sometimes I mix up my fav reaction peeps.

Need to put Collateral on the list if you want to see some more good Jamie Fox.

SageOfSixDabs

Idk if you've seen it or not but I can't recommend the movie Prisoners with Hugh Jackman enough. Especially if you're a father and you're into movies where you can't guess the ending. Mystic River is along those lines as well. Revenge/Vengeance genre.

J. Hickman

Another EXCELLENT reactioin!!! Need to check out Enemy of the State and The Negotiator if you haven't already!

John Dodo

Throw kingpin on the watch list pile

kenny mannino

Theres 4 bourne movies. 5 technically. But the one after 3 was a side movie. Still a good watch with jeremy renner. But Jason bourne in the 4th movies in the series to make it a quadrilogy and it was amazing as well

SageOfSixDabs

I always thought it would be more akin to Devils Rejects or Three From Hell if they let Clyde get away in the end. Would have been a dope alternate ending at least.

Bob Renholder

If you like revenge films, you'll enjoy Death Wish 1-5 with Charles Bronson.

Jennifer Reitz

They have "The Accountant 2" out. I remember you enjoyed the first one.

Sonya Byrd

Had to see your reaction to this. Movie is just 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Denise Mattsen

My big issue with what he did was sending a video that allowed a 10 year old girl to be traumatized by watching him dismember a body.

Dasypodidae

If you haven't seen Taken (2008) starring Liam Neeson and Wrath of Man (2021) or the Beekeeper (2024) starring Jason Statham, you'll enjoy them. And they've both made a gazillion other one-man army type of revenge movies. If that's your thing there's a whole buffet waiting for you lol. Btw: Is the movie Snatch (2000) on you list? It doesn't really fit in this genre but it's such a classic and unique crime-comedy you'll for sure enjoy the shit out off.

itsRichErich

someone said it already but definitely add Collateral (2004) to the list please
