Remember all who have given their time , service , and lives for us on this Memorial Day. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Peace

Alright! Perfect day for this amazing film Sir! I have seen both versions many , many times , and feel it is in the Top 10 for Military films. Ridley Scott's directing comes through again ,top notch acting , and fantastic special effects. And , according to my research , it is highly accurate in it's depiction of the combat tactics, weaponry, and chaotic intensity of the Battle of Mogadishu. Although it does simplify the geopolitical context , and condenses the events to focus predominantly on the American perspective. The Special Edition DVD has tons of documentary's and interviews with many of the soldiers that were there , as well as multiple commentaries from them and Ridley Scott. A must have for fans of the film IMO. Ok , Checklist Time! - Fatty rolled and ready - Check - Eatables eaten and kickin in - Check - Smokes and Zippo - Check. Ok , lets get this mutha started!!! Peace

45:40 - This is another banger score composed and arranged by Hans Zimmer. He also worked with several other musicians (including Martin Tillmann, Craig Eastman, Michael Brook, Heitor Pereira and Mel Wesson)

Annd we're done. I knew you would like this one Sir. And great reaction : ] It's a powerful film in every way. One of Ridley Scott's best IMO. Oh , it was filmed in and around Morocco btw. While I normally add some Fun Facts , this just does not seem to me to be a film to do that with. If you are interested , I highly recommend some of the documentary's about both the real stories , and the making of the film. I am very glad you finally got to watch this one Sir. : ] Peace

Definitely needs to do more movies like this based on real events. Mark whalberg does a lot. Lone survivor, patriots day and deep water horizon would be insane

Remove the happy. Its a day of remembrance not of celebration.

Generation Kill is a miniseries surrounding the 2003 Invasion of Iraq.(1 season) It's a very good show.

So many actors in this movie who have played iconic roles and/or are very well known. Obi Wan (Ewan McGregor), Legolas (Orlando Bloom), Venom (Tom Hardy), The Hulk (Eric Bana, 2003 film), Jamie Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau). Just to name a few of the many actors I recognized (even the actor who played the main kid in The Sandlot).
