Madmanmarz1981

Ok, so I'm late for this one , lol. Working 3rd shift does make it tough ta catch some of the flicks as they drop.: ] But I am off tonight and tomorrow so I will be caught up. And I am looking forward to seeing what you think of this film , and I do love the soundtrack to this day. The 70's were a crazy time for sure , lol. With that being said , Checklist Time! - Fatty rolled and ready - Check - Eatables eaten and kickin in - Check - Smokes and Zippo - Check. So lets grab a paint can , a couple slices of pizza and get up , get down and boogie!!! Peace

Madmanmarz1981

Annd we're done. Great reaction Sir. And I very am glad you enjoyed it so much. It's a classic for a reason. A nice little slice of 1977. : ] And yes , there is a sequel. Stayin Alive (1983) But that's a watch at your own risk movie IMO .lol Saturday Night Fever was director John Badham 's first big hit. From there he was big in the 80's and 90's. His version of Dracula (1979) is actually my favorite Dracula movie. He also did Wargames (1983) I don't know if you have seen that , but if not , you should. Awesome film. My favorite is Nick Of Time (1995) with Johnny Depp , and Christopher Walken. A very underrated film: ] Ok , only one Fun Fact for this one as there are way to many , lol - The white polyester suit worn by John Travolta sold at auction for $145,000 and was purchased by movie critic Gene Siskel. Siskel often said that this was his favorite film and that he had watched it 17 times. Thanks for another fun reaction Sir. : ] Peace

i love how many issues you found.

Susan B

“That’s the way they took the poison in those days,” re Romeo and Juliet. I loved that line as an expression of how Stephanie’s character was trying to show Tony how sophisticated she was.

Susan B

I was an idiot college girl when this movie came out, and even then I knew there was something “off” about her forgiving his attempted date-rape. But my friends and I all pretended to each other that it was a romantic ending. Nope. Kick him in the balls and never look back.

Susan B

Annette actress (girl who thinks she’s in love with Tony) shows up in final season of The Sopranos as Patsy Parisi’s wife, Meadow’s future mother-in-law.

Susan B

I didn’t see any jealousy from Tony’s brother. I saw him celebrating his brother’s talent.

Susan B

If that revenge plot had taken place twenty years later, everyone would have been armed and most of them would have been dead. There was actually a time when fistfights and an occasional knife passed for violence.

Susan B

Annette was raped by the second guy. She said no, she said she didn’t want to, and nobody tried to stop it. Sickening. And realistic.

Susan B

Great soundtrack. We all owned it in the 70s.
