Sorry for the lateness, I had to go on an unexpected trip. You'll have a little extra time to vote this time. Apologies.

Gone Girl is going to get him in trouble with the ladies. lol.

Blade Runner. Make sure it's the Final Cut. There's like 5 different cuts, that's the definitive one to watch.

Honestly I wish we could get some of the movies in, that have been on the polls already. I am not sure how they can be picked eventually if new movies are added. I guess I am just old school and really want to see some of the classics. Other than The Patriot I personally have not enjoyed any of the picks as of late. Yes, I know I am whining , but it is just frustrating. I was hoping the extra movies during the week would include some of the losers of the previous polls. Movies I enjoy are along the lines of The apostle, Sling Blade(was on the poll), Unforgiven, Pale Rider, Really any Eastwood film. The Color Purple, It's a wonderful life, Tootsie, In the heat of the night (film) One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Deer Hunter, The Natural....I of course could go on and on. This is all just my opinion and not meant to offend anyone with the movie suggestions. Just wish we could squeeze in some old school films.

Carl Lyngholm

Probably won't win and I don't know if I'll even vote for it, but if you do watch "Kingdom of Heaven", the Director's Cut is the way to go. It makes it a MUCH better movie.

TigerMyth

He has a tough job. He has to balance what is best for the channel over what some of the older folks would like to see. Unfortunately, younger folks aren't as interested in anything before 2000. Heck they might not even care about anything before 2010. I'm old so I like seeing a mix of oldies in the list but that doesn't mean a lot of people watch it. I wasn't a fan when he first mentioned he would be using polls because I knew the newer movies and the movies that have been reacted to a 1000 times would win. I do agree that it would be nice if some of the 2nd and 3rd place picks got some love.

TigerMyth

There are some exceptions. With his knowledge and love of film and camera work, he should probably watch Barry Lyndon. Movies like a clockwork orange are old but typically get a good number of views. So yeah, there are plenty of older films that can get people to watch, it isn't easy knowing which to pick. And I have no idea what the demographic breakdown looks like for his viewers. Jimmy Marcram watches some oldies but if you look at his views on youtube, they don't necessarily get a lot of eyes on them.

Street Kings, Three Kings, Escape from LA, Felon, Shot Caller, all amazing/great movies.

Gone girl is just rage bait for him

Casino Royale (2006) on future polls please. Also "The Shining" has a sequel called "Doctor Sleep" that's a really great watch.

Angie

Yes, I agree. I remember before the polls his picks were more in line with what I enjoy. Films like Mississippi Burning which won for cinematography would be a great choice for those interests. Plus Gene Hackman who was great in that film. The Color purple was beautifully done as well as Unforgiven. I have seen the younger reactors that do watch these older films actually love them after giving them a chance. I get it though, just unfortunate.

ViperBreeze

You didn't list it, but The Deer Hunter reminded me of Last of the Mohicans. I'd love to see a reaction to that also.

Angie

Yep! Another great film!

Amy the CheshireCat

Gone girl would be great!! Love that movie and would love to hear Mr Boyds take on it.

John Dodo

I believe the 2nd and 3rd places will see their day when the schedule changes again to two movies a week and a cut back on shows. RL changes in his future as well I’m sure.

Max

Gone Girl will be hilarious. But also we need THE BIG SHORT soon.

Madmanmarz1981

He's still gotta do New York before LA: ]

TigerMyth

he will be triggered. lol.

I just wanted to take a moment to say that we sadly lost another amazing actor today. Mr. Sam Neill. I have been a fan of his since I saw The Omen 3 :The Final Conflict when I was a wee lad of 12. Dead Calm , Red October , Jurassic Park (s) , and my 2 favorites Event Horizon , and In The Mouth Of Madness. A great actor , and from all accounts , a wonderful person. R.I.P. Sam Neill - 1947 - 2026 You will be missed by many. Peace
