slimsycentaur37

Lol it's cool but the humor and dialogue is definitely dated. Not as good as remembered.

slimsycentaur37

is that one actor playing the new student/scholar black? Or what is he? I can't figure it out lol

itsRichErich

Damn this movie didn't age well, enjoyed the reaction tho lol

Intended takeaway: survival at any cost isn't worth the price. Actual takeaway: don't let stoners vote.

Couldn't be total destruction because we somehow appeased the gods in the past. They will rampage and sate their bloodlust and then rest again. Cycle can start again. If 5 deaths would appease the gods, they certainly won't need 8 billion. They might be a little grumpy but not 8 billion grumpy. They weren't locked away. They were resting of their own will. A new accord can be struck.

Alllright! Super excited to finally get ta watch this! I work 3rd's and I prefer to watch these reactions at home with no interruptions hence my lateness for this one. And this film is one of my faves for many reasons , and fun eldritch horror films are hard to find. I mean , this one pays homage to tons of genre classics , while still being pretty damn original in it's overall plot and story. (Plus , it could easily take place in the WhedonVerse lol. I like to think Sunnydale is a few towns over: ] I really think you'll enjoy this one Sir : ] Ok , Checklist Time - Fatty rolled and ready - Check - Edibles eaten - Check - Smokes and Zippo - Check. Ok , time ta hop in the RV and head to The cabin! ;] Peace

06:33 - LMAO - Mr. LB's face when Marty collapses the bong; ]

Annnd we're done! Damn Sir , that one was a blast!! Even more fun than I expected: ] And to answer your question of a sequel , nope. It was a one and done. It was a moderate hit when it came out , and it's still a favorite in the genre. (There even a very well written and fun novelization for it , and explains a bit more of the story and characters.)For me , it's still one of those films that I can usually spot something new in still after many a viewing over the years. I am surprised you did not make a comment about Chris Hemsworth(Thor from the MCU) as Curt though. He did this film a few years before Thor came out. Maybe you didn't recognize him without the hair. lol Ok , so a few of my favorite Fun Facts about this one - The travel mug bong was made just for this film , and was a fully working bong/mug that cost 5,000 $ to make. Which I'm sure is why you can't buy em; ] - The FX team created over 60 different monsters for the film with a large percentage of them being prosthetic effects vs CG. And IMO , practical effects are still the best. - The car that Marty is driving is the same car that director Drew Goddard drove in high school. Goddard also had the strange habit of locking the doors without rolling up the window. - Most of the horror characters and monsters were homages or references to various films of the genre. And the white board during the betting scene has others as well. - And last , but not least - Drew Goddard wanted Bruce Campbell to play The Director, but he was unavailable; Sigourney Weaver, his second choice, was cast instead. THAT woulda been epic; ] Sorry for the overly long post , but I'm passionate about my love of horror films: ] Thanks as always for another banger Sir. Wishing the best to you , yours , and all here. Until next time. Peace

It 2 and welcome to derry recommended

luke

would love a terrifier reaction lol

Hell yea fam it would be throughly entertaining plus it has a Halloween theme in it so it would be fire to see before the months over but unfortunately he hasn't polled any of our great suggestions recently. Definitely let him know tho cuz the more people that speak up increases the odds that eventually a movie like that could end up on a poll if the majority of his viewers wanna see it.

Cody Menard

37:51 haha destroyed that man. Love it…. all facts
