That aside, this is our July progress report!This month's update will be about:

1. ASCOT's world history

The origins of the world

The angels and devils were fighting for almost an eternity.Initially, the devils tried to capture the holy power of the angels, but the angel's resistance sparked into a war between the two tribes.

Their war was big and seemed endless. Their power was equivalent, but as the war went on, more of the female angels turned to the devils.

The fallen angels fell in love with the demonic men and betrayed their own.

Thus, the balance of the powers collapses and the demons gained the upper hand.

An angel who realized what is happening knew that the angels needed more manpower. So he descended to the human world, which both sides were not interfering with, to give chosen people the power of the angels.

Angels & Humans VS Demons & Fallen Angels

So, the war continued and both sides kept fighting.

After the prolonged fighting, both the angels and devils became exhausted and both sides suffered a lot of casualties.

Eventually, they even forgot what they were fighting for. It was merely a grudge at one point.

The devil king was the first to suggest an armistice and the angels knew that this was the only way to stop the fighting.

Thus, the war was stopped.

Although, a new problem arose in the human world.

The corpses of the fallen demons and angels, that fell into the human world, started transforming into monsters.

The people that were given the power of the angels in the endless war started hunting these monsters and eventually became heroes.

They were the ones to spread the teachings of angels to the people and built the first foundation of religion.

As they watched the human world, the angels and devils saved their power for their next inevitable battle. Devils even started thinking about giving humans their power, to overcome the angels.

And nowadays, their war is nothing more than a fairy tale.

The Kingdom of Altonia

A highly religious state, where the teachings of religion are widespread.

Even then, the royal government, the immediate Squarter Order, has a lot of power.

The main city organs are in the centre of the city.

Even though the invasion of the Northern Empire plagues the Kingdom and them having fights, their domestic affairs are stable, compared to other countries.

Altani people

There are a lot of technical workers and farmers that go to mountain areas.

Land and work are usually handed over to each house, as most people live on a hereditary system.

The teachings of God are known as the general education, yet not everyone believes in it.

About half of the farmers are faithful, even though there are large urban dissemination activities carried out, and enthusiastic followers exist among them.

The urban areas teach geography in schools and such. They are usually more educated because they have more schools.

Clothes and the like are usually made out of fur. They usually have multiple layers, as Altonia is in a cold climate.

The Northern Empire

The neighbouring city of Altonia. Although they're based on imperialism, their system is not functioning well and additionally, their government and citizens are exhausted by their war between cities.

The government on its own has no power and every city and town has its' own political function.

Military organizations barely work and former soldiers usually become farmers.

Just like Altronia, the teachings of God are a general education, but it isn't as powerful here.

Those who have lost their jobs in the war usually commit crime, they attack villages and ambush traders on the trade roads.

There even have been cases where people who live on the border between Altonia and the Northernland turned into barbarians.

The country itself has no great power, but there are large cities with their own armies.

Fimaru-Nia

Unlike Altonia and the Northernland, this country does not propagate the teachings of God, they believe in their own doctrine.

They can coexist fine.

Everyone can control simple magic and women are as independent as men.

They are in a peaceful state and have not heard a lot about the teachings of the angels.

Although freedom is the countries' top priority, they have poor education and a short life expectancy.

Ascot begins her adventure in the country of Altonia. 

Then she will be free to travel around the country!

Ascot is not interested in any festivals, but in power, which will put her in a lot of fights. I hope you look forward to how it will develop!

2. Progress of the title logo

We have decided to call the game "Ascot: Demon's Waltz" and now we're starting to create a logo.

It looks like this, right now.

It's going to be completed real soon, so stay tuned!

3. The comic booklet!

We're currently preparing the booklets for Comiket.

It is composed of contents which are close to the description of an "Official Mini Guidebook".

After completion, we're going to release the digital version for the gold supporters in the middle of August.

It may take longer to release the English version, though.

4. Publishing the setting of Ascot

I showed a bit in the previous development video already, but we're going to publish the illustration for Ascot's model!

I place a lot of importance on texture because it is a physically based shader.

By incorporating such detailed expressions into a model, we're trying to create an attractive main character, with high quality.
