Character material verification (Patreon)
Content
Hi! This is Xai!
The comic market is over, and various verifications that have been postponed due to time constraints are being made.
Part of the previous post, Pole Dance, was to verify whether Ascot's model could be applied to existing motion.
Today, I will post about the verification of the material expression of the Ascot model, that is, the verification of the material.
The model image of Ascot that was released frequently was displayed using a model viewer called MarmosetToolBag.
However, to reproduce it with UE4, it is necessary to improve the texture.
So, we tried to verify whether we can combine several sample materials and make a higher texture.
The left is the current Ascot, and the right is the Ascot made by the verification.
As the texture increases, the atmosphere will be much better!
However, since it is a material that is burdensome to use in the game scene, it must be cut off, or there is not much difference when viewed from a distance, and processing only becomes heavy, so it must be implemented from a wide perspective.
When you actually bring it to the game, there are still problems that need to be resolved, such as the highlights of the eyes disappearing and the hair is too shiny and gray.
I will aim to improve the quality little by little like this!
The development of ASCOT: Demon'sWaltz will continue, so please continue to support us.
