[kpop] TWICE - Cheer Up (with covers from LSF, IVE, NJZ, NMIXX, ODD YOUTH, and more) (Patreon)
Content
TWICE was the first K-pop group I ever truly stanned, so this one has a special place in my heart. Cheer Up is one of those songs that instantly takes me back to what I consider a local peak of K-pop.
The original TWICE content for this era is top tier for the time and it does hold up to today compare to other groups or tracks from that era. Everyone looks fantastic, but Sana and Nayeon especially remind me exactly why they became my biases in the first place
On top of that, there are so many great covers from other groups. I’ve included performances from ODD YOUTH—Summer is looking absolutely crazy good here—and SAY MY NAME, along with the 2022 rookie collaboration featuring members from IVE, NJZ, LE SSERAFIM, NMIXX, and Kep1er. What a line up - definitey check it out if you haven't 👀 it's like a time capsule
The song itself also goes incredibly well with the script. There are so many fun musical moments to play with, and I’m really happy that I managed to breathe some new life into a personal classic.
I hope you all enjoy it!
