Allure has sent me her work for the first half of the intro and I just finished integrating it into the game. She has reported that she has further improved her setup for echo reduction and also bought a new mic in the quest for raising sound quality.

She has recorded the scenes with both microphones; please give your feedback so we can verify whether it is an improvement or not.

I apologize that some of the video recordings are a bit quiter than others, I think my OBS settings are a bit out of tune since I rebalanced a lot of the game's audio settings when I integrated an audio engine plugin to support voice acting.

EDIT: Both mic versions will be available in today's prerelease. One by default the other as a mod.

First is louder and picks up a pitch that makes her sound more confident. The second one due to that slight drop in pitch ontop of being l9wer volume makes heseem less self assured hope that helps. Ps at the time of posting this i picked 1 and it isnt close 66% choice 2 lol

Mic 1 is better scaled, but the sensitivity to sibilants isn't great. The second mic has major leveling issues. It isn't about the just the volume either. When she says Miasma, you can hear the distortion come in, so it sounds like you're out of headroom and getting clipping even with the low level. It sounds like you have some issues to sort out. The first sample can be cleaned up, but the second really can't be saved.

Mic 2 might be the better mic, but the gain staging issues make it hard to tell. The sibilants are also very pronounced so you may need a wind screen or to place the mic further away.
