Today is the official 1.4.0-beta release! If you checked out the game last week, there isn't all that much of a different besides a couple of bugfixes. For non-patrons, however, for play the game via itch.io or steam, this this will finally give you access to the new Hermann content. The update is already live on the beta branch on steam and will go live on itch.io some hours later as usual so we have rolling releases and can simply redeploy in case of bugs.

While nothing is particularly new, this post may still be interesting for many patrons, especially new ones, as I will give the usual summary as to what is new in this update.

To start with the usual quick number summary, we have 25k new words, 12 h-scenes (counting repeat versions though), 5 new H-CGs, 3 new epilogue scenes (with one of them being a new Victory Ending B Epilogue End), and a new quest: True Love's Business.

In contrast to other post 1.0 major updates, this one has been pretty homed-in on the expansion of its main corruption content - Hermann's events. So I will just split the report up into two categories: His quest and everything else.

1 True Love's Business

Hermann now has his own standing variable; increase it by adventuring and while you are married to Hermann, he will claim Aura's fruits of effort for himself (+retroactively). Reach enough standing to unlock his final quest: True Love's Business.

While most of the quest progression is passive as Hermann wil further smooch off Aura's success, you can accelerate the progression by means of finding investors for his venture - nobles and rich characters you have helped in other story arcs.

Most of the scenes are focused on group scenes, so the CG complexity is pretty high. Complete the quest to increase the power of True Love's Blessing (among other consequences) and if it's higher than any other character's modifier, you will unlock new Hermann epilogue scenes.

This should give a decent overview and information on how to unlock the quest without containing too many spoilers.

While this is the last major Hermann content addition, he may reappear as a guest in some other scenes in the future or maybe some more minor epilogue variations.

2 Other Additions

Besides Hermann's quest we do have a couple of further minor additions, which I will give an overview on in this section. For everything, you can of course always scour the changelog yourself.

The Toll Bridge Bandits are back! If they survived their encounter with Aura the bridge, you cleared the Reverse Summoning Ritual, and you did a bunch of jobs are the brothel, you will get them as new customers.

A bunch of new minor variations on early lewd scenes if they are done later. While fully eliminating all discrepancies for a fully corrupted Aura isn't possible, they should at least adjust better to a more corrupt Aura.

New interaction flavor texts in Trademond & surroundings.

For the full 1.4.0 release, there won't be any more content additions. Just the missing CGs + some technical quality of life features that we will be porting over from Liora.
