I would wait to cancel you current job to see if the number of subs stay stable to maintain this amount of money And offcourse congrats on reaching this goal

My contract runs out at the end of the year anyways. For the fluctuatons, I have been saving the money I have earned on Patreon/Itch/Subscribestar to build an emergency fund. So in case it turns out a lot people cancel suddenly (maybe due to economic crisis) I can hold myself over water to find a new job (maybe at half-time) if necessary. And since I'm not cancelling my contract, but instead it's just running out, I also still have pretty good relations with my current employer and could return in half-time or something. So don't worry, I have prepared a bunch of emergency measures :D
