In January I joined a game jam and produced Through The Peaks, a survivors-like which takes place in the same setting as Between The Shrouded Peaks, my very first visual novel!
In March I developed my first idle game, Dergie Clicker. This was a big shift for me. I grew into a greater understanding of animation, UI, and creating a project that felt cohesive and complete. Dergie Clicker wasn't my most complex project but it established a development workflow that has revolutionized how I make games.
Summer was a more contemplative time. I produced an addition and several revisions to Press To Struggle. My original vision of it was a story with interconnected mini games; though I decided it was more useful as an anthology project to practice animation and smaller scope games. A lot of time went into developing the demo for a hotel management sim that became Ego Vacancy. I really like the idea for the project but the scope and vision are not perfect yet, so I am currently revising the design document and doing concept art of the characters.
In October I teamed up with Karu to produce Mouse In Manse, a Halloween adventure game! I'm really proud of how this one came out especially because it was produced in a little over 5 weeks. Mouse In Manse was humble in many ways but I learned more from this project than perhaps any other I've done so far.
Right now I'm working on another addition to Press To Struggle! This one is the most ambitious so far. I hope to have it out early next year, then I will be creating a plan for games and art that will be produced over the course of 2026.
Thank you for all your support! Patreon has made it possible for me to grow as an illustrator, and to learn to make games. It was a huge effort to get to where I am but I feel no desire to slow down. I hope to keep growing and trying new things in 2026!Have a great holiday and New Year. It's cold so I'll be bundled up and sipping sugary coffee. Zyyphelze
