So much to say... This show is one I'd recommend to everyone. It's truly a healing experience. I've reflected a lot about my own mortality, the impact I wish to leave on the world and my lifespan compared to other loved ones, even not human ones. I can't compare my lifespan with Frieren's, obviously, but I have two dogs that mean the world to me, and I know they will live only a fraction of what I'll (hopefully) get to live. To them, dying before me is probably the most natural thing in the world; to me it's a heartbreak waiting to occur. Look at Serie, and imagine if everyone around you lived a fraction of what you will. I would naturally develop psychological walls (excuses, if you will) to never get attached to anyone. And yet, deep down, Serie has loved all her students, she doesn't regret taking any one of them. She's still coldhearted at surface, but there is space for growth in her character, and I really love that. In many ways, Frieren was lucky to have met Himmel. I think if she hadn't, she would be very much like Serie. The relationship Frieren developed with Fern is clear proof that she has learned to express her love for her student and she is proud of the mage she is and the one she will become. Stark helping out everywhere he goes, even if it's in 'insignificant' ways. He is loved by everyone, just like Himmel, and is turning into a hero in his own right. JUST PERFECTION! On another note, the rest of the characters in this show are so great and have so many layers to them. From this last arc, Denken and Wirbel stand out a lot to me, but they are all so great... Characters with more to them than what it may seem at first glance. Finally, Himmel's words about goodbyes. "Tearful goobyes aren't our style. It would be embarrassing when we meet again." That hits so hard, considering Frieren cried a lot when Himmel died, probably because she realized she would never meet him again. Now she travels to Aureole hoping to see him. I could go on and on, but I'll end with my thanks to you for reacting to this and thank you for your thoughts after each episode. 🫶🏼

Thank you for watching with us. ❤ Me and Sisi both own labrador breeds and we love them so much. We're struggling with the same thing. Could you share some pictures of your puppies? We'd love to see them. ^^
