This movie really is unbelievable. Loved your reaction. In the manga it is shown that Koyuki chose to go to hell to be together with Hakuji, they kind of showed it in the movie with the burning image. It is also stated that Akaza never ate women ot children as a demon, perhaps a subconscious tie to his human self and morals. Also all of his attacks are based and named on real world fireworks! If you google a comparison you see the attacks illustrated in the manga as the fireworks he and Koyuki saw that night. The whole character is carefully crafted around this beautiful backstory which is why he’s THE fan favorite demon. That second movie cannot come fast enough.

Goated character fr, those details u mentioned are beautiful, some of my fav writing of the show. (Mski)

Beautiful movie. Animation and music were superb as usual. I’d say the only fault I can find in this movie is a pacing issue. Not enough time to mourn Shinobu because you get immediately thrown to Zenitsu vs Kaigaku, but right after that you get hit with Akaza vs. Giyu and Tanjiro and THEN Akaza’s backstory. It’s too many emotions too quickly. Demon Slayer is my favorite anime of all time regardless of its faults. 1:35:40 “TENTH? THERE’S ONLY NINE!” LMAO Giyu literally did the 11th form like 5 minutes before (and also in season 1) Water breathing has 10 forms and Giyu created the 11th. THAT’S MY GOAT!

Oh whaat?? I didn't know DS was your fave. Always assumed it was JJK or Frieren 🤣

William

Oh, my top 5 are: 1. Demon Slayer 2. Vinland Saga 3. Frieren 4. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood 5. Haikyuu I actually dropped JJK after season 2…🫣

"Boobs are back!" :D Idk if you guys have heard but Bleach is now on it's final season, and they did a pre-screening of the first 3 episodes in the movies in USA. And a dude got a divorce after that because he was umm really excited about a sexy character :D And his wife was with him and wanted divorce after that xD So Mski risking his life out here for the bois :D By the way, the whole "Fighting Spirit", and being able to conceal your presence ... Yall familiar with a Nen technique called Zetsu by any chance :D Finally for what you said at the end of the movie, It's important to pay respect to the animes that came before, like you see the inspiration people took off of HxH. Demon Slayer would not exist without Bleach. The main character origin story, the Swords, the Hashira, almost all major story concepts are copy pasted from Bleach :D Once you finish up HxH or Naruto I would hope you look to the last of the big 3 and see the anime that inspired Demon Slayer, Black Clover and JJK.

That was probably the last straw for her, if thats a true story
