I'm glad you guys appreciate Shai. He's one of the best written characters in HxH history along with Pitou, Youpi, and Meruem. In the manga, Shai has some of the most beautiful art from Togashi that he's ever done. I might post a panel in the chat just so you can check it out.

You are correct. A lot of fans (not all, or even the majority) do not like the Welfin aspects. But not only Welfin, they dislike Ikalgo, Mel, and even Knuckle, Palm and Shoot getting so much focus. You guys are some of the few who appreciate what Togashi is trying to do, and his usual style: He loves perspective work. Every character is important in his eyes. There is no true minor character. He loves the idea of characters each making their own mark on the story and loves fleshing them out. But some fans think it's not needed and would rather cut to things or character they feel matter (which is often a small handful of characters or plotlines). Btw, none of it is filler. You'll see. The anime doesn't really have any filler.

Took me awhile to realize... I can't say much due to spoilers, but Youp's voice actor gives me PTSD from a different anime lmfao. IFYKYK
