Sunday (yesterday) in Rome it was very hot, 40 degrees, and I had the nostalgia of my high school summer vacation, when I didn't have to do anything but enjoy an icicle and watch TV ... ah ... the good times, carefree! XD

So yesterday I decided to take a break from PBB and give me a gift: to design something that would bring me back to those times and that amused me a lot.

Since I wore that fabulous MTV sweatshirt in the video I had the obsession of being able to do this unusual fan art! Also because I need to practice drawing human with my style.

So if it is not a problem for you to see something different I will share with you a preview and in greater resolution this fan art inspired by the 90s.

I wonder if you know this cartoon! :D

I love it!

I... feel like I should know this one, but I'm not POSITIVE. My first guess was gonna be Kim Possible, but that doesn't look like Kim on the bottom.

I'm not all too experienced with drawing human characters either, but this should be quite the sight to see. I'm not too sure which show these two are from. but if i were to take a wild guess it would have to be G.I. Joe for the top and The Real Ghostbusters for the bottom.

The Adept

I didn't take you for a Daria fan Vanessa I haven't seen that show in forever

Silvador

DARIA! <3 I loved Daria! :D

Kanbe Namura

Like what The Adept & Silvador said, that's Daria on the bottom. ;3 But as for your question, I would LOVE to see your human fan artwork pieces on your Patreon page, Vanessa. ♥‿♥

Unfortunately, I was older for Kim Possible XD because is from 2002, not from the 90s. I would have liked to be a teenager at the time of that show, but in 2002 I had already graduated for 2 years. But now I can see that at first sight they could remember Shego and Kim! Wow! :O

Non so davvero a che cartone sia riferito sinceramente, a parte che non si vede moltissimo quindi non sono in grado di di indovinare. Comunque mi fa piacere eccome vedere qualcosa di diverso.

Thank you! I have always claimed to have a strong artistic influence from the cartoons of the 80s and 90s, in particular the Disney and D.I.C. Of the latter there is an animated series full of beautiful girls to whom I would like to pay tribute, something very chic that partly reminds me of how Bon Bon could be in a certain way. A place of luxury full of charming and characteristic girls ... that I was lucky enough to visit as a tourist for a day ;) That cartoon fascinated me, it was nothing special in the plot ( rich and beautiful girls enjoying life LOL ) but for an italian teenager it was a dream to imagine that kind of life. A bit like Barbie's world in those days. I'm talking about the Beverly Hills Teens series. Yes, it was actually a very materialistic cartoon, but then today ... little girls still love rich and beautiful influencers and even more, so, you know, some things always come up again.

In Italy Daria was broadcast by MTV and I did not miss an episode until it went on the air, I also had somone recorded on VHS. It's a very smart series. I had a lot of empathy for both Daria and her friend Jane because I often realized that I was different and misunderstood by those around me. And I was very critical, I criticized everything during my adolescence XD probably because my curiosity wanted to be more satisfied and I wanted to become an adult before my time. I am a common sense person and sometimes I saw my peers and adults more immature than me. Daria was a revelation, it made me understand what was sarcasm, apathy and being introverted and feel unappreciated. It was a therapeutic series in a sense, during my adolescence ... which is a difficult time for anyone. But I was an artist, like Jane, so I was luckier than Daria :)

Grazie!
