^^^exactly I'm in the minority but Korra is a masterpiece and season 2 is no different. I love the first 6 episodes as well but the next two are two of the best in the avatar universe.

Why’s that funny? The flaws in this season—Korra and Mako are written as complete assholes, Bolin is written as an idiot, the animation in the first half sucks, Unaloq is a transparent and boring villain—are absent in the two-parter. So it’s good, but not good enough to rescue the season.

I fail to see how Mako is being written as an asshole in this season. He was acting like one in season 1, but in this season he is just trying to do his job and everyone around him is making stupid choices. Asami kissing him is hardly his fault. And you can't really blame her either. Think of all that's happening and how overwhelmed and alone she must feel. Everyone needs the comfort of not being alone now and then no matter who they are or how strong they are. It was a mistake, but I don't see any assholes here. Just good people making mistakes in extremely stressful situations.
