So many things to answer here. I'll answer everything that isn't a spoiler but FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, after the next episode DO NOT jump straight season 5 :D There are 5 specials to watch in this order: The Next Doctor (which you've seen already), Planet of The Dead, The Waters of Mars and The End of Time Parts 1 and 2... then you watch Season 5! 1. There were 3 series running at the same time. Doctor Who is aimed at the whole family, so both adults and children could watch it; Torchwood is aimed only at adults: there is swearing, nudity and more graphic violence than Doctor Who has. It ran for four seasons; and finally The Sarah-Jane Adventures is aimed at children. The Sarah-Jane Adventures ran for 5 seasons, but ended when Elisabeth Sladen sadly died from cancer. I've never watched the SJ Adventures, but this episode tied all three shows together... 2. Davros was first introduced to the show in 1975 in a story that featured the 4th Doctor and his two companions at the time, Sarah-Jane and Harry. That's why she had recognition of Davros when she heard his voice and said she thought he was dead. By the way, it's not in black and white - Doctor Who was black and white from 1963-69, then ran in colour from 1970-89. 3. I'm so glad you're completely confused by the ending of the episode... try not to think about it until next week! :D I personally find The Stolen Earth insanely epic. All those people being brought back, just make it an absolute Who's Who of New Who. :D

Great reaction as always! One thing, as Mark said above, make sure you watch the five specials before you start series 5. You already watched one of them already (The Next Doctor) but you have 4 more and they'll make more sense when going into the next season.

Its been mentioned but dont miss the specials between seasons 4 and 5 theres 5 episodes and Water of Mars is one of the best ive seen from this show (personal opinion)
