The episode where we first saw River Song was Silence in the Library. The first episode we saw the Weeping Angels was Blink. Both were written by Stephen Moffat, who is now the head writer and show runner of this new series 5. So both are his creations and he can bring them back as many times as he wants.

Jorah Mormont. Is who the Bishop played in GoT. Also. Try to remember that The Doctors past is her future and her past is his future. So when we see her the things that we have already seen havn't happened to her yet. Like she hasn't gone to the Library to meet David Tennant yet.

This has to be viewed on the big screen

6:33 The first time these two actors worked together and she kneed him in his man region, he took it well and she knew from that moment on they could work together........

Interesting to note that this was the very first episode that Matt Smith & Karen Gillan filmed of S5 as The 11th Doctor & Amy Pond way before "The Eleventh Hour" was filmed. Like many TV shows episodes are shot out of sequence to how they air. I remember seeing the photos of Matt on the beach in the newspapers. I do think it's quite interesting to watch this two parter knowing this as they both just fall into their roles. I believe this was a delibrate act by Moffat to give them both a chance to develop a good working relationship before going back to film Ep1 later on once they were comfortable in their roles. These two episodes Steven Moffat really put a lot of effort into this story on set & off, he has admitted years later that probably that was to the detriment of "Victory Of The Daleks" which he wasn't very focused on. In his words he learnt quickly on S5 that "You have to pick your battles" as showrunner when it comes to the episode being made. It's already been said but "River Song" is a Steven Moffat character (not a Rusell T Davies one) that he created for "Silence In The Library" so nothing stopped him from bringing her back into his stories not to mention that "The Weeping Angels" are also an invention of Moffat & he wrote "Blink" in S3.

This episode, Blink and silence in the library are some of the best examples that Moffet is at his best when doing focused one off stories.

MeneacingScone I think that you may be in the vocal minority with that assessment. We will see what these reactors think in a bit.

You mentioned that maybe this was a different version of River since she died in Silence in the Library. To clarify (and this isn't a spoiler as they talk about it at the beginning of this episode), she is living her timeline in a different order than the Doctor is living his, so 'Silence in the Library' hasn't happened to her yet...Meanwhile, she has had adventures with the Doctor that he hasn't lived yet.

Absolutely love your scared faces on this one. No need to pose for a 'reaction face' at all on this episode!! :D
