Oh goodness, these are so old. But I'm a new Patron and I had to come watch. JV thinking James might really be alive reaaaally brings me back. I remember that being a thing when reading this book. This is my 2nd favorite book and my favorite movie. Even though I wish they had delved into the Maurader lore more, I appreciate the vibe and characters really coming to life from the page in this one. The castle came even more alive 💙 So glad I joined! You guys are fun. And Jane cracks me up when she forgets some common things, but then remembers some deep cuts like it's nothing, haha.

One thing else I'll mention, after finishing the reaction, is that I'm fairly certain this is the film that kick-started my love of scary movies. The entire film has a much spookier, horror-based aesthetic throughout. I saw this when I was around 11 at a friend's house at, like, 1 in the morning, and I remember the werewolf scenes scaring the bejeezus out of me. Sometimes you go back and watch a movie and its not as good as you remember, but this one really held up. I still love it a lot. And, of course, excellent reactions from you two! It was hilarious seeing Jane just forget what happens and then get stressed as much as JV! 🤣 Really, really glad you enjoyed it. See you next week!

Unsure if this is a spoiler but even in the early movies the teachers cast spells without speaking the spell. In the books it becomes a part of the classes to learn to cast unspoken spells so as to not give away what your casting to the enemy.

I'm really liking the reactions to these. I would just comment that not liking a film because it's different from the book it's based on isn't really fair. The job of the director and screenwriter is to make the best film possible, not be perfectly faithful to the book. I personally like all the changes, but everyone is different of course

Try using a free VPN service to switch IP addresses. Sometimes that gets around Mega's 'free' tier limit. Still, the free one should be at least 5gb and this is under that by a lot, so I'm not sure why it's giving you a hard time, either.

Hey, guys, I resub to your Patreon just for these movies, I had to end my subs on here for a bit due to budget constraints it was Youtube and Netflix or this and but screw it for I choose this cos I love HP and you guys so you no how could i not XD Keep up the great content and i love the skits too more PLZ. Noooww Okay okay, sooo let me just address you issue with the spells cos I was kinda in the same boat when i saw it and for years after too but the not saying the spell was done for a reason. Remember JK would tell the director her plans for the story so they knew what to foreshadow. She even went as far as to tell certain cast members things about their characters unknown to others so they would act in certain ways even to this day it is possible we don't know some back story info on certain characters that the actors where told. JK is an amazing world builder and knew where everything was leading if not in detail at least a general idea. Not saying the spell was a sign of a wizards power and skill as they didn't speak the words aloud but in their heads to cast it this is in the books but elaborating will spoil things. But notice that spells are said in the movie, such as when Dumbledore when Harry falls from his broom and also when learning how to product a Patronus. The reason this was done however was not only for showing experience but for fighting as casting all kinds of spells in succession would be a tongue twister of a time. I think seeing the 2nd movies duel play out was what gave her the idea as you can see the duel is slow and making a fight scene later would be hard. Also, the reason people love this film is that its a master class in cinematography. The train scene with the dementor, The Night Bus, Oh and who could forget The Leaky Coldren scene with Arthur Weasley. I've analyzed the crap out of those scenes and more and every shot is intentional from the composition of framing and lighting to transition the series into its dark tones for the up and coming films it does it brilliantly. But that's not even the beginning. The character interactions all purposeful and important to the story. This was the first film where a lot of things had to be cut due to how long the book was so focusing the film on harry since he is the main character was super important and a fantastic adaptation is what this is. Side note on the Dementors JK said they were an embodiment of her darkest time when she struggled through depression and is why the movies and books took a tonal shift the very definition of how art can express one's feelings in a beautiful way that can do the world so much good even if you are struggling with grief and sadness. There's so much to this movie I could go on all day but and is why this movie is the bomb and the second-best in the series in my opinion.

Oh also, the Fear the name fear the thing itself, is what Hermione quotes from Dumbledore, the fear of Voldemorts name was enforced by his followers to make this saying a reality. Because Voldemort had so many followers who were unknown saying his name could mean one of his follows might be in earshot or even the person your talking to. And because Voldemorts ego he didn't want anyone to take his name nor use it so he made his followers report anyone who'd even speak his name and they'd be killed. There is more to this but that's yet to come so that's all ill say.

Hello, first of all I really love your reaction videos they're awesome,secondly I just wanted to point out a few things that Jane probably forgot to mention: 1. in the novel, the weird werewolf appearance was explained because when Lupin first came to Hogwarts, he used to lock himself up in the Shrieking Shack during his transformation, and since he couldn't find any human being to attack, he attacked the only human life he could detect, his own, so he kept biting and scratching and carving into his own body, and screamed in agony doing it, which gave the "Shrieking Shack" its name, and made his werewolf look disfigured, his human form was also affected (if you look closely he has scars on his face) 2. also, Dumbledore helped Lupin to hide by making a tunnel entrance to the Shack and planting a vicious willow tree (AKA Whomping Willow) on top of it to scare off anyone who tries to go inside 3. When James Potter, Sirius Black, and Peter Pettigrew found out about Lupin's condition , they dedicated themselves to becoming Animagi (or whatever the plural of Animagus is) to be with him, since they didn't register as humans in their animal form, they could safely interact with Lupin , talking some reason into him , he partially regained awareness of himself and had adventures with them, so the Shrieking Shack was basically their treehouse 4. Sirius once tricked Snape into facing the werewolf Lupin and James Potter saved Snape's life 5. Sirius used his Animagus abilities to escape Azkaban and evade dementors at Hogwarts , they couldn't sense his presence when he was in dog form 6. Sirius escaped from Azkaban when he recognized Pettigrew's rat form in the photo published in the Daily Prophet of the Weasleys in Egypt , he finally knew where Pettigrew was

So, I don't know if either of you have ever seen Buffy The Vampire Slayer, but you guys should watch it. I think you'd really like that show. It's cheesy, and some of the episodes are weak, but the series gets better as it goes along, and most of it... well, if you watch it you'll quickly see why it's such a beloved show. Plus, it's one of those shows with such a huge, active following that it's pretty much guaranteed to gain you followers if you're good reactors. Which, you both are. Love these reactions, and can't wait to see more.

Don't know what you are talking about, this film didn't take any more liberties with the story that any of the other films did. It is also widely considered by pretty much every fan of Harry Potter that this story is the best of the books and of the films. Sad to say, but you are just showing how little taste you have and how naive you are with the lore of Harry Potter. Also, you said your favorite film is The Goblet of Fire, which is considered to be one of the weakest of the films and also the film that takes the most libities with the original story. Might want to get your facts straight.

fun fact: when they were fliming the scene where they were sleeping in the great hall the actors who played dumbledoor and severus and the other teachers pulled a prank on harry's character aka Daniel radcliff where they stuffed a fart noise maker in his sleeping bag and they set it off during the quiet parts of the scen that made daniel and the other actors/actresses laugh during the scene....

For everyone who has problems with Mega: Make an account on mega without buying some of the offers, download MEGAsync on your computer, copy the link here for the movie, open it in your browser and than click on download to download it on Mega. After that open MEGAsync and the full movie will download on your computer where you can watch it full without it pausing. You can download 2 Movies and than you have to wait 5 hours to download 2 again. This worked for me and maybe it will work for you too.

This is the first movie of the HP series where important things are missing, the first two are actually very similar to the books, it's here that they started to cut some things, of course it's more important in the movies after the 3 but still, a lot of the story is missing, specially the backstory of the marauders, how Sirius escape is presented and the link with Harry, the tension between Ron and Hermione, the quidditch games, the end that is more explained in the books. So they started to diverge in this third movie, no need to be that rude to the reactors, JV never saw them and Jane read them and saw a long time ago the movies, doesn't mean she knows everything about it.

Speaking as a fan of Harry Potter, Goblet of Fire ranks very highly with me in both film and book. The film might be my favourite, but that's difficult to call because all the films are so different and serve different purposes.

Rowling is a very talented author and I will always be grateful for the harry potter series because of the impact it had on my life. It is just sad that she is such a shitty person IRL and before anybody jumps on me here. It is okay to like the works of a shit person, I am not saying you are not allowed to like harry potter. I LOVE HARRY POTTER but writing a nearly perfect series of books does not make Rowling a perfect person.

the third movie takes more liberties due to having a different director than all the other films which is funny because the third film is my favorite due to the very different ( and to me, more appealing ) style of the new director of the third film. I actually like most of the story and aesthetic changes this director made.
