Season 7 is hit or miss for me, but this is a big hit - it's one of my favorite christmas specials. Funny, smart, deeply emotional, and really, really fun. Governess Clara is a blast of a one-off companion. Seeing the Doctor lose his way and get back into it is such a delight. The one-word test sends chills up my spine and I'm glad it got you, too. I love, looove the skits you're doing. You've really come into your own with these reactions, and I can't wait to see what the future of Who brings for you.

Loved this reaction! This was the first ep of Doctor Who I ever saw so this was extra meaningful for me (Amelia is still my fave companion, but Clara is my first companion so she holds a special place in my heart). I love the idea of watching Karen as Nebula for your movie night....to get the best/most Nebula scenes, might I suggest either Guardians Vol. 2 or Avengers: Endgame rather than Infinity War though?

Speaking of Moriarty, you should watch and react to Sherlock. Prior to series 7, they announced Jenna Coleman as the new companion, starting with the Christmas special. It seemed like they had faked us out when she got killed off in the series premiere, but it was a double fake. I loved her right away, was sorry to see her die, then loved her again, and was sorry to see her die again. A lot of people dislike Clara. A lot of people love her. I'm firmly in the love category, and I'm glad you like her so far, too. At the end of the last episode, River said she would travel with him any time he asked, but not on an ongoing basis. So we could see her again, but she's never going to be an ongoing companion.

Clara is an interesting companion. Part of the fandom hates her. Like really-really hates. The other part loves her. Some people even said that there is no middle ground. I don't know about that. As for me she is my favourite. I love her with all the flaws. The Doctor has an amusing interactions with her. I remember how back in the series 5, he offered to be called Amy's father (The Vampires of Venice) and then he had no reaction when Amy instead offered to play the role of a couple. But in this episode he is the one who said "I'm your governess' gentleman" lol. I love this episode. And i agree with the others that this episode is one of the best Christmas episodes. The way it's written and directed. Everything is perfect imo.

Yes! Ive been waiting for this! Echoing everyone ard here, Clara is loved and hated in the fandom which i kinda understand why. But as for me, she's my fav companion of the Moffat era. She's an interesting character. Overall my top 3 companions ranking for me would be Donna, Clara, Martha.

Hello , Just like everyone so far I am so in love with Clara , she is my second favorite after Donna , Also I'd like to point out that the Intelligence is a classic who villain , always coming with snowmen-style creatures as his minions , in other media such as audio and comics it was said he is older than the universe and is always wandering around trying to be physical again

As you can see from your comments a lot of the Clara hate was manufactured at the time. Doctor Who had made the mistake of being able to move on too quickly from Doctors and Companions leaving and some fans who were upset by this, made it their job to inform everyone else of why. We are all setting up expectations, but there is a reason why. Clara is all time great, yes, I said it, they made us have to like her three times, they only could do that twice with "10" and he is beloved.
