Important Updates (Please read) ;) (Patreon)

.Hi!I'm writing this just to make sure that everyone gets informed about a change that I'm planning to make on my account. ;)So please, when you have the time, try to read everything (I'm sorry, it's gonna be a bit long but it's important...)

I don't know if you noticed, but close to the end of the month, my Patreon's homepage was displaying a revenue of $480 USD per month!

Obviously I wasn't expecting to earn that much at the end of the month... My earnings always go down a bit at the beginning of each month. There's always some fake accounts or payments that get denied. So I was totally expecting to make less than that... ;)

However, I imagined I'd make something like $420 of even $350 in the worse case scenario... But I definitely wasn't expecting to see a drop from $480 usd to $314 usd! :(  (At the moment of writing this. Obviously this number will slowly go up again as I get new patrons)And unfortunately, this is the reason why my earnings dropped so much:

I'm getting more and more fraudulent accounts... :/ (There are a few more, I just can't fit them all on the same screenshot)

The most frustrating part is the fact that I was getting closer to be able to upgrade my computer for animations. But unfortunately, I'll have to keep dreaming for now as the earnings went down by a lot more than I expected (even though I anticipated something like this. Just not that much...)

It's also wrong that you guys (the real supporters, which I'm extremely thankful for) are paying me, while others are getting the bonus pages and other rewards for free.Avaramix (A long time supporter!) even talked to me about a website that's somehow cloning all my private posts, and people stealing my content. I told him that for now I just wanted to let it slide as there's not much I can do, and I'd rather not stress about it too much... Specially now that I've been really tired with personal problems. (In other words. Try to deal with this in the most peaceful/professional way possible, at the right time)

That's why I'm gonna do something I didn't want to do. But unfortunately it's the best choice. I'm gonna enable "upfront payments"

If you're a regular supporter, this wont affect you at all. You'll make payments at the end of each month as normal! ;)The main difference is the fact that technically you're now paying to enjoy my content for the month ahead (not the month before). 

The only difference to you is when you try to upgrade your tier. Here's an example: If you're a $5 usd supporter, and you want to upgrade to $20 usd. You'll simply have to pay $15 usd the moment you upgrade your account (your current $5 usd + an extra $15 usd equals $20 usd)

The biggest difference will be for NEW patrons. Instead of letting them download everything for free so they can cancel their pledge before the end of the month, they'll actually have to pay BEFORE even accessing the paid content (which would have made more sense from the beginning) ^^;

To me that means no more fraudulent accounts.I wanted to keep the access free so people could take a look at some of the bonus content and only pay if they were happy with it! But unfortunately, there's just too many people taking advantage of that... They get everything for free with fake information and then leave forever...

I'll make this change in a few days. Or in a few hours =PIt depends on what happens... (If I get another wave of suspicious patrons, then I'll enable it right away) I'll keep an eye on my dashboard just to make sure that enough people read this announcement. Only then I'll make the switch to "upfront payments"*** Like I said. If you're a regular supporter and you're not planning to change your current tier, this will make no difference to you, at all. (And you can still leave at no extra cost, in case you want to leave of course!) =P

But I'm still making this announcement just to keep everyone informed! ;) ***As for the real patrons, once again, thank you VERY MUCH for the support! I hope you're enjoying the comics, the early access pages, the bonus pages, the wallpapers and the previews for my future projects! ;)
