#MUTED volume 2 - new cover (Patreon)

Hello my gemlins,

sorry for the long silence, once again time got away from me somehow u _u)

In March I wrote in a post that I feel like I'm working so much but it still feels like I'm not progressing at all and I still very much feel like that x _x) Paired with huge insecurities about the quality of my work, worries about how much longer I can do this job, as well as Fynni having his issues™ again, which means I've barely slept since Thursday..... isn't the best cocktail for sanity lmao

Anyway, I redrew the volume 2 cover illustration for the German release! I still like the previous one, too, but I feel a huge responsibility towards my German publisher to deliver the best work I can possibly wring from my fingers because I don't want to be a waste of time, energy and money for them, so instead of just fixing minor details, I decided to draw an entirely new version. And I'm pretty happy with it! I think it keeps the spirit of the old one while showcasing my current skills a bit better.

I also drew the cover for volume 3, which will be used for both the English and the German release. I'll share that one with you in a few days <3

I will also finish the next Shallow Sleep chapter this week, I've been busting my ass over the weekend to colour 16 pages, I only have shading to do now, so hopefully I can get it done ; - ; ) Everything takes so long... I hope it'll be worth it.I'm considering temporarily pausing updates on Webtoon/Tapas, because the experience of public updates has just been miserable for me for months and I don't get anything worthwhile out of it, so I think I'll just stop for now and keep Shallow Sleep on Patreon only. At least until I've built a comfortable buffer so I can throw out weekly updates on those other platforms, for hopefully a bit more exposure.. My twice a month schedule simply isn't working anymore because SS is performing so poorly, I might as well not post at all. So maybe bowing to the algorithm gods and posting weekly for a bit might at least push me up in the lists a little bit (??? idk i'll try)

Next on my list is the cover illust for chapter 7, I'm looking forward to drawing that.

EDIT: I also wanna mention that I'll probably keep being a bit unresponsive both here and on Discord for the next few days (weeks?), I don't really have the mental capacity to keep up communication with people rn, so instead I'd like to use my energy to put my head down and get work done in isolation while also taking care of some irl things. I'll be back soon tho!
