I must... ramble...... (stuff I worked on this month) (Patreon)

Hello my gemlins~ 💜

July is almost over and my month ended up being very different from what it was initially meant to be. I had planned to sacrifice some work time in order to take care of my driver's license, however the wait list for lessons is endlessly long, so that didn't happen 🙃

Instead I used the past few weeks for intense drawing sessions, which occasionally got interrupted by equally intense admin work (I hired a lawyer for the first time in my life o _o).Today I wanna share some of the art I have accumulated over the course of July, most of which is still WIP.

First and foremost I've been working on Shallow Sleep chapter 05. I'm currently colouring the pages, I'm about 30% done with those I think, it's going to be a very important chapter for our protagonists!

It is, however, taking so so long, at this point I feel like I'll never be able to build up a significant buffer unless I randomly disappear for like 2 full months and do nothing but draw 💀 I wish I knew how to draw just a little faster and more efficiently.

....... I say as I randomly spend two whole days working on an illustration that spontaneously popped up in my head:

This is only a tiny part of the full image, it's not done yet because I felt bad for abandoning my comic work for more than a day but I hope I'll be able to finish it soon! There is a little bit of a story to the illustration that I want to share once it's done, but also I must finish it for naked Leo's sake alone, because that is also very important haha

which still isn't finished either, but during summer I always get the strong urge to draw Emma ahaha

I also doodled my player character from Dragon Age Inquisition one evening, because sometimes I lose my mind if I work on art that's supposed to pay the bills in one way or another for too long and I am feeling a little burnt out sometimes from the neverending comic routine. I hadn't really drawn anything for just myself in like 2 months - in general personal doodles just for fun have been a very rare occurence this year so far.

It felt nice to spend a few hours just doodling for myself. I still wanted to share it with people but there's no pressure here if no one cares, because the only purpose these drawings serve is to entertain myself, which they did, so I'm happy c:

In other news, I will not be able to send out the little merch letters for EMERALD gemlins before the month is over . _.) I'm really sorry. I ordered the Jasper magnets a while ago and not only did the company I ordered them from take much longer than usual with production and shipping but they also messed the magnets up quite badly:

The picture looks bad, irl it looks even worse. The colours are super washed out, the image itself is pixel-y as fuck and there's dirty smudges on almost all magnets, and I can't clean it off OTL I'm so disappointed, especially because I've had only good experiences with this service in the past, so I wasn't expecting this to happen.I can't send these out to my supporters, I wouldn't even be willing to hand these out for free in any way because the quality is just so bad LOLSo I'm really sorry that it'll be a bit longer than planned until you get your mail, I've ordered the magnets again and I'm crossing my fingers for better results this time. The envelopes for EMERALD gemlins are lying right next to me, all prepared with labels and whatnot, literally all that's left for me to do is shove the magnets in there and run over to the post office to drop them off u _u) Hopefully I can do just that very very soon.

I've learned my lesson with this incident, I need to not only get these things printed 2-4 weeks ahead of time, but 2 months ahead of time because I can never rely on anyone or anything to do things right xD
