Big News! (beware: long ramble lol) (Patreon)

I am so sorry for the lack of posts lately, I promise I have a good reason for it! I'll make an actual public announcement very soon (within the next 2 days hopefully) but since I've already let the cat out of the bag over on my Discord server, I wanted to finally talk about it here too!

#MUTED will be moving to WEBTOON ORIGINALS in a few weeks! (╯⊙ ⊱⊙╰ )

Webtoon approached me about this a few months ago, we've been in negotiations for a while and I finally signed the contract a few weeks ago and suddenly things are going really fast.

#MUTED will join their Daily Pass program, because it's already a completed series, so all the episodes are going up at once. People will be able to read one episode for free every 24hrs or they can unlock them with coins in order to binge.

I thought about whether or not I wanted to take this opportunity for a long time, because it means I will have to delete the comic from CANVAS and lose all my subs and comments, from Tapas, and also from Patreon (except the NSFW parts and everything outside of the main story).

Going exclusive with one platform was something I've always been hesitant about. But #MUTED has barely generated any income anymore ever since it ended, which is kind of sad for a project I put 5 years of work and energy into, and my financial situation is in shambles, so I am grateful to get this opportunity and figured I'd try! I have no guarantees it will improve my situation but I have literally nothing to lose at this point and maybe I can at least reach some new readers who would then become interested in following my current and future projects, too!

So I hope people will understand my reasoning, I am a bit nervous about all of this, it's been very stressful.

Anyway, the launch is very soon and the comic is going up all at once which means I had to get the entire comic ready and prepared in one go, too. I went through all 540ish pages, made some improvements to the art in some of the early chapters because they're wildly outdated by now and set up every episode from scratch,  to improve panelling and pacing. For the past 3 weeks I've basically had no time to do anything else.

Some examples:

I'm done with the editing now and waiting for the episodes to be reviewed. The total episode count is only 41 LOL Kinda sad that over 500 pages only amount to this many eps.

I am now working on promotional assets, the WIP above is for the series banner, and I have 2 more illustrations I need to finish by next week... along with the announcement ep. 

So, that's the reason for my silence here ; _ ;) I'm pretty excited but also incredibly exhausted, this year has been rough mentally, haha.

The current Shallow Sleep chapter will still be posted as planned, but I might have to take a short break afterwards to build a buffer again, it's simply impossible currently to work on new pages, too.

I'll also share the #MUTED illustrations here with you too in high res without text so you have something nice to look at, so I really hope not too many people are going to delete their pledges, I'm doing my best I promiiiiiiise 😭

Oh, #MUTED volume 2 print release is also happening in a few weeks, I'll keep you updated on that too!

(I am also in negotiations with a German publisher (they sent me the first contract draft over a week ago and I haven't even had the time to OPEN THE FILE YET), and I might possibly have another job lined up that would eat up more of my passion project time but could be a great financial help but I dunno yet if anything will come from that......... I've been investing a lot of time and money into "maybes" this year lol)
