Traveling with Denver and CoolWhip for the last few months was an epic adventure. But raising a puppy on the road is not without challenges. Today, I'll be talking about the positives and negatives of living in a van with a puppy, and my best tips from my last two months on the road.

While this video is centered around van travel, the tips in here work for puppies raised at home too ;)

Wow! Such a great bonding experience for all 3 of you! And the photos are incredible! I'd be blowing those up HUGE for wall hanging in the training room at home!!

I love this. Question: when you travel in the van in the summer, how do you keep the van cool enough for the dogs to be in there?

DOGGY•U

I may get AC in the future, but for now, i just don't leave them if it's too hot. I do have window shades plus the fan that can pull hot air out. I park in the shade, use one of those metalic blankets if any part is in the sun. I have a vent lock so I can open the door but still lock the car, giving more ventilation. Ryobi fans for the inside, swamp coolers for the dogs, ice in the water buckets. But I just use common sense and don't leave anyone in there if I think heat will be a factor. And if I'm traveling and it's too hot, I just get a hotel room. Not worth putting anyone at risk.
