Q&A Live: Tuesday March 11th @1pm ET (link below)

Deep Dive Live: Tuesday March 18th @1 pm ET (link in separate upcoming post for Inner Circle) Topic: Rear Foot Targets and Backup (details below)

Next Month's Deep Dive will be a Part 2 where you'll learn how to apply this to two different behaviors, the blocking task for service dog work, and kick back stand.

What is a Live Q&A vs. a Deep Dive?

Live Q&A's typically last 45-60 minutes and are open to all paid DOGGY•U members. Crew and above members can submit a question prior to the live. Q&A's are recorded and you can find every Q&A I've ever done in the "Q&A" section in the "Collections" tab.

Deep Dive's typically last 30-60 minutes and are recorded, so if you can't make it to the live, the recording is posted later that day. They focus on one topic, covered in a webinar-style lecture. You can also see all previous Deep Dive's in the "Collections" tab. Deep Dive's are a member benefit for Inner Circle and Top Fan members.

LIVESTREAM Q&A INFO:

Reminder that our livestreams are via Zoom but recorded for replay viewing after the Zoom. I will post the replay link after the event with a brief summary of the topics covered. You can always go back and watch past livestreams even if you can't be there live. Participants will be muted so please put follow-up questions that pop up during the Zoom in the chat box. Reminder that questions should be related to the topic I am currently covering and I do not take non-related questions during the Q&A.

Those members who are at the "Crew" ($10/month) level or above are able to submit one question per month with their membership. Leave that question in the comments below.

The cut-off for submitting questions is 2 days prior to the Zoom (Sunday March 9th by 1pm ET is the last date to submit) so that I have time to prepare. Please limit questions to 1 per person so I have time to answer them within the hour. Questions should be general enough that I don't need to know your specific dog/behavior to answer the question (this also allows everyone to benefit from the question).

DEEP DIVE INFO: Rear Foot Targets and Backup (2 Part Series)

This month I'll be showing you the progression of how I train a rear foot target, and from there, how to train the backup.

Then next month we will apply this skill to some practical applications like the blocking task for service work and the kick-back stand. After this month's live, you'll have the opportunity to practice, and ask any questions you have so we can troubleshoot them at next month's livestream!

DOGGY•U

Thank you all for your questions! Questions are now closed so I can prep :)

Katelyn Steele

Throwing in one more just in case you have time and sorry to be late! Any tips on helping a dog not startle (somewhat aggressively) when waking from sleep? I have a 19 month old border collie SD and he has done so well with disengagement while awake, but we just started having issues when he is woken up abruptly, generally by a stranger coming up to me. We have no issues if he is awake. If you don't get to this, no sweat. Thank you for all you do!
