Thanks to those that attended the livestream! If you have questions about what we spoke about, feel free to drop them here. If you have suggestions on things you'd like to see in future Q&As or on patreon in general, I would love to hear it! Thank you all for being here!

The Woof Pack

I forgot that you're in a different timezone 😭

DOGGY•U

Oh no! I'm sorry you missed the live version but please do ask questions if you have any about what we discussed!

You mentioned the recall video and the GPS recall ?collar? I don't know where you have shared those resources. I'd really like to view the video and I'd like to look at the product and see if it's as interesting as it sounds.

Rick Lees

This was really helpful! You really broke things down into clear & concise steps, and I appreciate the explanations and reasons why. I totally wasn't imagining enough little steps to get the behavior. I'd love to hear some of those stories from placing dogs out in the world too, those sound like an interesting video topic.

DOGGY•U

Thanks Rick! I'll either do some short video stories about placing dogs or incorporate something into next month's Q&A. Thanks for the suggestion! :)

I'd like to understand why you want your students using this collar with GPS capability. What are we going to be accomplishing with this tool that cannot otherwise be accomplished?

DOGGY•U

Hi Anna - so I don't want my students using this tool. It's just a tool that works well for me when i'm hiking. My dogs are taught to respond to the tone, which works well especially in windy conditions or when I'm on the beach and the GPS is excellent and works without cell service. A couple years ago my friend lost a dog over the edge of cliff in a freak accident. Because she couldn't prove where the dog was, she had trouble getting rescue help for the dog. If she had had the gps she would have been able to pinpoint the dog's location and get help faster. It gives me piece of mind and it also helped me once when I got a little turned around on a new trail. But it's not something I would require others to use - just something that makes me feel a bit safer when hiking in the woods with my dogs. Does that make sense?
