In this video I talk all about the new Embark DNA Dog Age Test which I was invited to take, early access. I talk about both Jake's DNA and Health results (and a fun surprising find!) as well as his Age test results and whether it's the right test for your rescue dog. 

I also discuss Jake's adoption story (which I don't think I've discussed before!) I talk about what it's like adopting a young cattle dog, as well as how we overcame a lot of Jake's issues that were a result of poor socialization.

Thanks for sharing Jake's story! He couldn't be in better hands than yours, so lucky boy! About the DNA tests, I have my doubts, I have a puppy that looks like a Jack Russell/rat terrier, but when I got the results, it said that she is a Shih Tzu mixed with a German pointer. She has nothing to do with a Shih Tzu, so I don't believe in those things, but hopefully, Jack is younger, and he will live happily for a long time.

I think the whole DNA side of things is interesting and is really invaluable for the health portion when looking at a breeding colony. I think the technology will continue to improve as they go!
