Hey DOGGY•U Community!

I'm so excited to bring you this video that's been in the works for months! Megan was so gracious to share her time with us to talk about her experiences training her first service dog for migraine alert and response. Even if you're not a service dog handler, I think this story is incredibly valuable. I hope you enjoy this video, ad-free until release tomorrow. The exclusive patreon video on how Megan actually trained the scent portion and alert will be out tomorrow!

As always, make sure you click the "watch on youtube" button and boop that "like" button and leave a comment so others can find the video.

Enjoy!

P.S. I know the audio isn't ideal here. As a total backstory, about a half an hour prior to this interview I busted my bad knee so badly that I couldn't walk, even with assistance, the two stairs into my main house. But I had been planning this interview with Megan for months and she drove an hour to get to my house, so I took a strong pain medication (hopefully you can't tell!) and my husband graciously moved all of my equipment from my studio into our mud room area and we did the interview there. So, while I know the setup isn't ideal, this is one of my favorite videos I've worked on and I hope you find it valuable too!

Fantastic interview Laura (I think the sound was just fine)! Megan is a great guest as well 😊 and I love how much thought and research she put into getting and training Archie. The Nosework nerd in me is really excited to see how she trained his alert. Wonderful job ladies!

I so so so enjoyed this. I may be needing a cardiac alert dog along with the balance assistance I currently need. I am pretty well convinced the only dogs in my area are mutts and not bred to assist anything.

This was so helpful! Thank you Megan and Archie for sharing your story. I’m still figuring out how my SDiT can help me and this gave me a few actionable ideas. Thanks!!
