I'm new to patreon and still don't know how to navigate it, but your YouTube videos are fantastic! I love your ability to break things down in such a way that it seems attainable. I love hearing about the differences of luring, capturing, and shaping. I think I might be missing stacking in there. Seriously, your videos are my favorite and I can't wait to get started once puppy gets here. So yes, I need all the puppy videos!

I love your personality and how you work with Osa. I have a 8 week old GSD puppy that I want to train your way for service dog tasks. I love how you teacher, sit, down, place, etc. without the leash. It makes do much sense. My problem is that I need some organizational outline or sequential videos for each task. I have just seen YouTube videos and am trying to put it all together but I'm not really winning at that. I hoped that joining patron would off a "Puppy Training Course" that progresses through each task in some kind of order building one on the other. I haven't found anything like that so I don't know what to do. I'm willing and have a great puppy to work with but my cognitive issues prevent me from organizing what I've found available. Please help me.

Hi Wanda, Unfortunately, Patreon is not designed to be a training course, but instead, think of it like a feed from a creator you're interested in, similar to a facebook feed, with training tips, short videos, and livestreams, in no particular order, but searchable by tag in the search function. So that being said, it sounds like Patreon is not what you're looking for. It sounds like you're looking for structured coursework. While I do plan to make courses starting later this year, my puppy courses will not be available until I get a puppy later this year or early next year. If you're looking for full structured training courses, I recommend checking out My Service Dog and Me. The algorithm began showing me your vids, mainly tricks—I think it was training back-up using rear paw targeting that started it. I find your explanations and modeling of tricks and service dog behaviors super clear, concise and upbeat—pretty soon it didn’t matter what the topic was. I’m not raising a puppy or training a service dog, but still take in service and puppy-related videos for future reference, as I find your insights and methods valuable and often innovative (thinking of how you staked a puppy on a long line for safety, and walked big circles around him, reinforcing every join-up). Your voice (esp that irresistible hook phrase, “so let’s get started!”), plus your clarity of explanations and excellent editing make your videos exceptionally palatable. I sense your years of working with clients who are particularly likely to benefit from a pleasant, clear voice to describe and instruct under new circumstances is greatly to the benefit also of your general YouTube public. If I had to boil it down to one thing I’d say it is, for me, all about exposing myself to your modeling of the clear, engaging training practices my dog would most wish for in me. Finally, I felt guilty taking all this from you for free! Hence, my Patreon membership. I do appreciate the bonus content too. :-)
