Deep Dive Live Webinar Link: Better Human Mechanics for Better Communication (& results) (Patreon)

Deep Dive Live: Tuesday January 23rd @11am ET (link below)

The Deep Dive Live topic this month is all about practicing our human mechanics so that we can be better communicators with our dogs. Training takes teamwork, and we're half the team! Even professional trainers often brush up on their mechanics! So in this livestream I'm going to present several exercises for you to practice to fine-tune the human half of the training equation. We will work on clicker skills, feeding skills, and leash skills with a focus on precision and physical mechanics. Just like we have our dogs practice their behaviors, we can practice ours to be better trainers for our pups!

Equipment:

This webinar will be designed with the idea that you will practice these exercises within the webinar if you so choose.

If you want to follow along and practice with the exercises, I recommend you have a few items on hand. You can always watch the webinar the first time through and then work on the exercises in the second round. I also recommend that you put your dog away during this webinar as there will be a lot of clicking that will be for human practice.

1) Clicker (you do not have to use a clicker but I recommend you try it for this webinar)

2) a bowl and/or treat pouch with either dog kibble/treats or dry beans in it if you don't want to get your hands messy

3) A mug or similarly sized cup

4) A stool, box, or anything really that would put that cup at a similar height to your dog.

5) If you happen to own a large traffic cone, this can also be helpful

6) your dog’s working leash

Hope to see you there!
