Embers to Inferno | Episode 12 (Patreon)

So I am actually insane and I redrew most of this episode... Did I have the time for that? No. But I was so unhappy with it 😭 Now I can sleep peacefully knowing Brandon has more volume in his hair and the lighting looks better lol. You'll see that the preview I shared doesn't match anymore even hahaha.

Is anyone interested in seeing the first version? I still have it and don't mind sharing it with you if you're interested in seeing what exactly I changed! It was mainly lighting but some panels got a complete redraw!

On to the discussion of the episode! Did anyone guess who would be the one to give Sky a good punch? 😂 A lot of people thought Brandon, which was a fair guess! But when I was analysing their characters I felt like Brandon would not take Sky's shit, but he would also not hurt his best friend. I've said this before, but I genuinely believe Sky is a good friend and that he's not a bad guy. He just has issues, especially when it comes to relationships.

Brandon would tell him the truth but having him punch Sky just did not feel right considering their history together. Brandon is also not a violent guy and thinks before acting.

But who do we know that doesn't like Sky, is rough, abrasive and does act before thinking. Our boy Riven of course! He was waiting for a good excuse to clock Sky in the jaw I'm sure 😂 I also have a very soft spot for the supposed "bad boy" actually being the good guy and coming to the defence of other girls 🥹

Timmy looks like he'd just stand there awkwardly and not say much haha, but his silence is enough to show how disappointed he is in Sky. Helia is also a man of little words, but when he speaks he makes it count. He would not hurt Sky but show his disappointment in other ways. After this episode, I feel like not many of the Specialists will be talking to Sky for a while.

It's time for Sky to grow and realize he was wrong, which is already sinking in by the end of this episode, but he still has some ways to go!

As for the next episode, things are finally kicking into action! 👀 So look forward to next month!!

Someone left a hate comment on episode 7 saying that I'm stupid and just rushing Bloom and Valtor. Meanwhile, nothing except some banter and flirting happened 😭 I was worried I was taking it too slow hahaha 🥲 Can't please everyone I suppose 🤷🏼‍♀️ People also seem to forget I made this for me as a lil fun project and that I did not expect it to blow up at all, we can't all be experienced writers and artists guys 😂
