It's time for some behind-the-scenes 🥰

If you're interested in a more detailed description of Valtor and Bloom's thoughts, I'd highly recommend reading the script! A webtoon is very visual so it's difficult to convey every single emotion or silent thought, so the script is a nice addition to fill in the blanks this month!🥰

For the first time, his touch was unfiltered by the barrier of his gloves. Every sensation, every prickle where his skin met hers, was overwhelming. His touch burned, an almost unbearable heat searing through her, yet she couldn’t find the strength to pull away. The burning was intoxicating, like a drug slowly erasing her logical thoughts.

I was very nervous about starting this episode because I knew it would have so many difficult elements! First is the hand-to-hand combat. Writing action sequences and figuring them out is literally the worst 😭 Making people move in a static format is so so difficult! Making it flow naturally and still keeping the suspense will forever be a struggle. Especially when it's without magic, I feel like with magic you can be a bit more creative at least.

Next was the forest, I was so stressed about that damn forest hahaha. It should not be that hard to draw trees 😂 I ended up using photobashing for this! Since I have so little time and I work alone I can't afford to spend hours on a forest so I use different images I find online, blend them together and paint on top of it!

It still takes a fair amount of time, don't get me wrong haha, but it's better than trying to figure it out from scratch. Especially since I had never drawn a forest before in my life. When you start a webtoon you suddenly need to learn a lot of new skills lol.

Other than that, I had a lot of fun working on this episode! It felt like the first episode where we really get to see some progress in Bloom and Valtor's relationship, even though it was more driven by their connection. I thought it was a great start for things to finally be set in motion! There will be a lot more moments between these two from now on 😏
