While working on Episode 23, I didn't even know yet I'd be doing multiple seasons, haha. As a lot of you already know, I started this WEBTOON with not much of a plan 😂 It sort of came naturally over time that, yes, there should be multiple seasons of this story!

So, after I started working on episode 24, it just made sense that the season was coming to an end. Episode 23 is sort of a part 1 to one big finale; we start with some much-needed additional lore to the Winx Universe before we move on to the suspenseful final episode of season 1.

A huge thank you to all my readers who let me use their OC design for this episode!! 🥹

I might be in need of more designs, so I'll probably do an official send-in of Winx OCs for future episodes! That way anyone can send in their OC to be displayed in ETI if they want to, and I can keep track of who all the OCs belong to 🙈 If you happen to see yours, let me know in the comments hehe 🥰

Spoilers ahead.

While watching Winx Club, something that always irked me was that Professor Avalon was just there in season 3. Of course he should still be allowed to work in Alfea, but I feel like some sort of conversation should have taken place? Why is he just there without any reference to what happened in season 2? Is everyone okay with it? Are there no angry parents?? They were quick enough to ask Bloom to be expelled 😅

This episode was made with keeping Bloom's experience with the fake Avalon in mind. It can't be easy to just look at someone who betrayed you and groomed you every day for an entire year, even if it isn't technically the same person. So it felt it was time for ETI to address it.

I also wanted to draw a clear line between the spy and the real Avalon. I wanted to show just how different these two really are. How much the real Avalon is disgusted by what happened and how much he cares about Bloom. In my script I even wrote that he secretly lets her pass his classes without her having to do anything, to try and make up for her having to be there in the first place. When he woke her up, it was not to be mad at her for sleeping in his class but to suggest she go back to her dorm. This is something that's not easy to write in a webtoon format, so I suppose some people would assume otherwise. But I hope his concerned expression and actions later on show he always has Bloom's best interest in mind.

It still wasn't easy to find a reason for Faragonda to seemingly not care at all about having Bloom be in his class 😂I know a lot of Blootor/Sparxshipping fics like to make Faragonda an evil mastermind, but personally I never thought that fit with her character. She always struck me as someone like Dumbledore from Harry Potter. Not evil, but making the wrong decisions for the right reason. Should Fargonda keep all these secrets from Bloom? No. But in her mind, telling Bloom would only make her worry, and this way, Faragonda thinks she can fix it all while keeping Bloom out of it. Let her be a normal girl as much as possible.

After Bloom was turned into a servant of Darkar, I also can't imagine some sort of higher power in the Magical Dimension wouldn't be worried about that. The Dragon Flame is the strongest power; the possibility of it being used against them should have made some political powers and kingdoms quite anxious. So Faragonda has been keeping the kidnapping a secret. Bloom stealing the codex was bad enough, so she thought it best to keep the rest silent.

This is also why Faragonda is so adamant about keeping Bloom away from Valtor and his influence. If the council were to find out about them, there would be no hesitation in taking measures against Bloom. If she were to turn against them with Valtor, it would be over for most of, if not the entire, Magical Dimension.

A part I did giggle at a little was with the dialogue "As long as she stays with Sky..." — cut to Bloom sleeping on Valtor's couch, bwahahah 😂 If only Faragonda knew how much her plan already backfired hahahaha. She pushed her right into Valtor's hands 👀

I am very sorry to leave you all hanging like this. I know you're all probably at the edge of your seats waiting for Valtor to enter the library 🙈 I promise the finale will be worth the wait!!!

In the meantime, I would love to hear all your thoughts about this episode and about the lore I added! I always love hearing you guys' theories 🥰

I love that you put in here that Avalon DOES care about her. Literally saying that you cant just MAKE trauma go away. Too damn true. Ive said it once, ill say it a THOUSAND times: the artwork is GORGEOUS. I love how you have the girls wearing different outfits all the time & not their generic outfits that were constantly worn in the series. Lol I swear it was like if you looked in their closet all youd see is the same ones over and over again. Haha Since episode 24 is the season 1 finale, when do you plan on coming back with season 2?

Lady Madhouse

Nuuuuuu not the season coming to an end!!!!!!! But honestly love that you brought the trauma out more. Also I love how bloom immediately went to the library where valtor is. Shows how safe she feels with him. Maybe valtor can help heal her. And heck if he knows what council is planning he wont let them seal blooms power away. Can't wait for the finale and for season 2 of this story

Phoenix

This is amazing!!!! I love that she went to Valtor's library to be safe. And that you showed actually affects of what happened between Bloom and the fake Avalon and how it is affecting her with the real Avalon. Im so excited for what comes next! Also Sky can suck a lemon! And booooo to the mean council. Also love that you captured the air of Fairagonda (i know i spelled it wrong) always keeping secrets and stuff when it comes to Bloom.

Woahhhh.... Now the story really got dark and real... First, I really do respect and like Avalon in this episode! I mean hedoes the right thing and is considerate of Bloom's feelings! Second, the great addition to the lore, dark, but great - the fact that the council of Magix would actually do some actions and not just not exist like in the show... And although naturally, I didn't like Faragonda in this episode, for her intentions, I do understand that it's exactly how she and the Council would have reacted and planned (I mean to marry off Bloom). And it is a very interesting detail that The Council of Magix, which didn't come to save Domino, although they were allies, now wants to shut down the last holder of the dragon flame... I mean I do understand their concerns, but the Dragon Flame is literally the only power to keep them safe... BUT I DON'T WANT TO FOCUS ON THEIR PLANS THAT DIDN'T GO AS WELL 😅😏😏 I am more concentrated on the fun observation that on the last page exhausted Bloom fell asleep in Valtor's room, SOOOO... 🤭🤭 We all know and HOPE that our sweet Valtor will help her and bring her good mood back))) And to be honest, it makes so much sense that it all happens at the same time, and Valtor can become quite literally Bloom's saviour from the Council... And the fact that she feels safer and more comfortable with him, then with Faragonda is so real, besides there is a dragon flame between them so it just makes so much sense for them to be able to heal and understand each other... ANYWAYS FEE, AS USUAL THE BEST EPISODE!!! The lore is exceedingly interesting and well thought-through! Thank you very much for the amazing episode again! 🧡🧡🧡

i absolutely loved it! avalon’s reaction is the best and i respect it a lot!! i’m so excited to see the next episode 🤭🤭 it’s been a year since i follow you on webtoon and i loooove to discover your work every month. i have to admit i wasn’t particularly a big fan of the ship between bloom and valtor buuuut you made me change my mind hehe ;) (sorry if my english is bad i’m french 😾)

What should I say? This episode, just like every other, is perfect. Let’s say I might not be entirely satisfied, knowing there’s some deep continuation to it and well, it’s a month away. But I know it’s worth the wait and I never minded waiting, it’s just the urge to know 😩. No but really, it’s interesting how the Council sees Bloom, how manipulating and twisted they are, using her until it fits them and then ruin her. When I think about it, sometimes the “heroes” in cartoons act more villainy than the real villains. As for Avalon, it’s really heartwarming how much he cares, but poor Bloom, it’s only worse for her that way 😔. And theories? Theories? My head goes wild if I even dare to think about the finale. At one side I expect some great fight, on the other there might be a surprising revelation. Maybe it’s going to be about Bloom and Valtor’s relationship more, maybe they’ll finally do a progress 🤣. Maybe Bloom turns dark, or maybe something threatens in that direction. Maybe Winx find out about the deal, and maybe it’s going to be some new information Valtor shares with her. I think I have a picture of what it will be like, but at the same time I don’t know anything. Anyways, I’m insanely excited. Embers to Inferno is my best motivation ever, really. So thank you for it, thank you very much 😊

I love this episode! I think it is easily in the top 3 favourites of mine 🥹 Great logic with the Council btw, it makes everything else more serious and... real. Bloom isn't like any other, she possesses an incredible, formidable power and it was only a matter of time before the Council wanted to intervene... But I pity them tbh, I don't think Valtor would allow them to touch a single hair on her head 🙂‍↕️

OMG! This is so cool as always 😍 I didn't expect the plot to change my perception of some things so much. But that doesn't stop them from making them more logical and exciting. Anyway, thank you again for delighting me with your masterpiece! ❤️ And by the way, I liked the idea of adding OS, and if you don't mind, I'd like to share some of mine as well ^^ Where and in what format can I send them?

Folimpe

To be honest, one of my favorite episodes. And the way you make everything so logical. I'm so used to fanfiction that are not build logically (and that's okay for them, I mean, this is a HUGE WORK to write a coherent fanfiction based on the Original lore), and your webtoon fanfiction is Gorgeous in any way ! In addition, I love the fact Avalon seems to care about the Bloom Psychologie state, as you said, it allows to seperate clearly the impostor and the real Avalon. It cannot seem really important, but it does ! And like everybody else, Bloom sleeping on the Valtor's couch show a big step between them: When you sleep, you're so vulnerable, so in my opinion, it means she clearly feels safe with him, despite the fact they are supposed to be enemies. Good luck for the finale episode, and looking forward to it and the next season. I also want to say something else: it's possible that I have to stop the support here in patreon, because financially, I'm broke as fuck lol. But I'll certainly come back again :)

Brilliant writing 😍 it was so powerful and put so much into perspective I love Avalons care for Bloom and how Faragonda is trying to protect her in her own weird way

Virtue

Love this episode! Bloom’s trauma is valid and I like how you address it. We didn’t see much of it in the series and it was weird: why would Bloom be okay when she was groomed and kidnapped by a man she trusted? ♥️ In the meantime… Avalon seems to care deeply for Bloom and wants to help her somehow. Faragonda always was shady and she has hidden the truth many times from the Winx and Bloom herself. She’s really like Dumbledore 🥹 Btw what’s your Hogwarts House? I’m a Slytherin 💚 Also, it’s a great addiction to the story that the Council actually has a role (even if they didn’t help Domino from being destroyed). Poor Bloom she doesn’t know that she is being watched by them and what they want to do with her (marrying her off, sealing her powers away). The dragon flame is the strongest magical power and I fear that if it was taken and sealed away from Bloom, that would be somehow detrimental to the whole Magical Dimension. I truly hope Valtor has a solution and will help Bloom in every way he can with everything that’s happening (Dark Bloom, The Council). May their relationship progress even more in the finale and in season two we get to see more cute moments (and hot of course) between the two of them. Fee I love your story and thank you for making it 🥰❤️

Eema Masoodi

I love it!!! I’m really glad that her trauma was addressed. I really wish they had addressed it more in the series. Especially with her connection to Valtor. I feel like that would be really cool to have both. Like she’s recovering from what happened and then all of a sudden she has a connection to someone who is supposed to be her enemy. So thank you so much for bringing this up in your story. I will never get tired of how incredible it is and the details that you have is absolutely amazing.

Angel

I love your story so much! Also I love how professor Avalon is being drawn, you made him even more handsome :)

Ari

Wow wow where do I begin? I think this is my favourite chapter so far.. the way Avalon wants to protect Bloom really melted my heart I didn’t see it from his perspective until he was begging Faragonda.. the way you write dialogue for your comic feels so natural and true and intentional through the emotion you make them convey I just widen my eyes in awe💜💜 ALSO oh my goodness? The arranged marriage deal? That actually makes so much sense like Sky loved Bloom before he knew she was a princess before he knew of her status and power and turned away Diaspro. Now, I can see it wasn’t intentionally done to stabilise her through marriage, but wow that is a plot point I would’ve never seen comin it makes so much sense! It really had my jaw spinning from shock!! The fact they would consider removing her wings and “having the dragon die with her” it’s horrifying it’s jarring (in a good way, you really know how to portray such intense frighting scenes) But again it does also make sense but oh my little heart, she’s just a baby! I’m so glad they didn’t do it and I’m so grateful Faragonda is protecting her. I could go on and on but I’ll leave you with this, you are an incredible storyteller and I can’t begin to express through just words how amazing and wonderful and beautiful you are
