Embers to Inferno | Episode 3 Part 1 (Patreon)

Episode 3 was so much fun to write and draw! From the Trix' dresses, to Valtor's new look, to the story in general; I loved this! 🤍

I was talking with my friend, who I always brainstorm with, about if I wanted to add a dance scene already. At first my answer was an instant "no", because it would not be believable in the slightest if Bloom agreed to dance with Valtor. But I just kept thinking about it, how amazing they would look together and it would also give the fans a little something romantic early on. 

I came up with the idea to have Valtor disguise himself to see just how powerful Bloom is, because up to this point he never really had the chance to, and he and Bloom had not fought yet either. This also gave me the chance to establish Bloom's immense powers, which is already canon, but not fleshed out enough in my opinion. Despite Bloom being incredibly strong, I do feel like she lacks experience and the manipulative mind Valtor has. Which in the end still makes Valtor a lot stronger at this point in time. 

Adding the dance scene ended up being the best decision,  it adds something cute and romantic to an early episode, and it also helped me with writing certain scenes in future episodes. Although I won't be saying too much about those yet hehe, you'll have to see 👀
