LexRated Minisode 2: A Short History of Erotic Dancing (Patreon)
Content
This 7-minute video and the corresponding podcast episode (debuting on Monday or Tuesday at the latest) were inspired by my trip to an Atlanta stripclub for my birthday. In the episode I'll be discussing stripping and the various -isms of oppression. I figured this LexRated minisode would be a great companion piece for it.
BONUS: I don't expect all of you to have watched this 70's classic, but did you know Esther from Sanford and Son, aka LaWanda, was a shake dancer early in her career? If you don't yet know what a shake dancer is, watch the video. Here's a Jet Magazine clipping featuring her discussing it in 1977. (Source)
