CYOA #5: BIGSTARS, BONUS FINALE: JACK (Patreon)

Awhile back when Bigstars wrapped, I kept going on about there being a point to the final polling numbers, beyond the end product–and here it is:

Legoshi was the standard ending, but this time, here's what happens if things went differently for Jack <3 Just how big will the good-natured golden boy end up getting??

Stay sharp for the next alternate ending, as we go down the list of winners! That's right, the story bonuses don't end here, we're running a short list of alternate conclusions, each for a different character! Enjoooooooy!

Things start to deviate after page 16, so jump there if you want to!

Naturally, this is fantastic news because c’mon, more Beastars bigs. Different characters and their perspectives and alternate endings? Heck yeah! But do you know the best part about these alternates? It’s getting to read about Melon again, and all the attitude and the bigs and seeing how all that is done and undone by each of these alternates is going to be fantastic. And you really kicked it off with a winning start here. Loved the jumping off point for everything changing. Subtle tweaks before things just balloon out of control and get really wild. The exchanges between characters were on point as ever. And getting to read the ending again, all that development and new world set up remains inspiring as ever. And it was adorable to have the actual actual end be similar to Legosi but just different enough that you can sit back and say “Yep, that’s Jack alright!” Excellent work!

I keep forgetting how fast some of y'all can read XD But cool! So glad it's still fun, on its own terms! I'm still working out how different each ending should be, but I have some rough ideas <3

Haha, if you’d posted it about five minutes later I’d have been asleep and wouldn’t have been able to comment for hours! I’m incredibly biased obviously because this is like /my thing/ right now. But I’m definitely eager to see what you pull out and for who. How the changes stack up, what happens when and were and especially those epilogues. I have faith you’ll be able to keep them fresh and personalised. It’s just a super exciting time all round! Doubly, not triple-y so when Melon is involved! (Even heftier bias present there though.)

Your 200th post. Congratulations! :D And this was the surprise you were making, with that final poll. And boy, this was such a big surprise, I can't even think of a single word to fit it all. (Or to describe Jack.) And it's even harder to find more words, to comprehend that you're going to make two more of these Bonus Finales. And if it's going to go off of what the poll had been decided on, it'll be Haru and Juno, that'll blow up massively. (That's not the right word for it, though.) And based on the count of votes also, Haru will be next, then Juno will wrap it all up. (And around it all, just like the other three that'll be before her.) I'm having trouble finding the words to describe how excited I am to read those Stories next. And to see the Artwork you have planned for them. As for this story, you still went at it in a way that did have the characters being themselves. The Beastars aesthetic still standing. I know I said it felt like an out-of-place ending last time, since things couldn't just go "back to normal" after all that. But now, after reading the events differently, yet the same, a second time, I'm glad this is still going on how YOU would do these things. And now, less out-of-place than before, just being me. Much less. (The only less that's happening in this monster-sized read.) And enjoying it even more than the Standard Finale's read over. And for the last "Unable to find the right word(s)" statement, you've managed to do it all again. The shear amount of work you put into these Stories, is just as grand of a scale as the giants you make in them. And you still plan to make at least TWO more to this Series. I can't wait to read those ones next.

Aww, thanks! I appreciate that! That's the catch, these take ages to do, because I try to get them done, but get them done as close to 'the right feeling way' as I can (without taking forever) XD The plus side is, y'all actually give me the time to do a better job <3 I'll *still* very likely do a final big edit on all of them before the art, then finally going public with the end product–as a result, it'll still be a good while, but I think the results will speak for themselves!
