Nice little subversion of expectations, and in how you've set things up so far, it makes sense. The change from the original Stripper Hulk comic of Erin looking into exotic dancing prior to her first hulk-out is an interesting twist - and all to help make money in order to keep their research going! Though we've just been introduced to him, I like Derek, and I do sympathize with his attitude towards Erin's idea, but it's a nice touch that he didn't reject it outright, giving her agency to at least try it out. Looking forward to seeing how this works out for them!
