This is kind of poignant for me... way back when I was a teenager, I created my first She Hulk transformation sequences by tracing Jen and She-Hulk from the cover of Savage She-Hulk issue one, and then creating composite images of the two drawings to create the 'inbetween' stages. At that time, I felt that drawing my own version of this iconic transformation was completely beyond my meagre skills.... and some 30 years later....it still is! :0) I guess I've improved just a little bit since those days.

You are now ready for Savage She-Hulk number 1 my young Paduwan.

Manic

Got most of it except for issue 1, which I stupidly didn't buy when it was cheap enough!

You;'ve always had a knack for drawing the savage era Jen, but you've REALLY nailed her here. Can't wait to see where you take this!

Excellent! Didn't Stan Lee base the likeness of the original She-Hulk upon a particular celebrity? I remember reading this in an excerpt from a newspaper archive, but I don't remember who it was.

Heh. So basically, this is a return to old ground for you... I know how it is. Even though I don't have the same level of art as yours, I get the same nostalgic feeling when returning to old drawings, and even working on old sketches. That's one of the reasons I like you: You are just an artist, like me, wanting to enrich the world with your art, ever evolving as you advance! I admire you, Manic. Really, I do. You are one of my greatest inspirations as an artist. Thank you for all of these years providing us with your awesome art, and may you continue being awesome!

Manic

Thank you so much!

I believe it was Raquel Welch from One Million Years B.C.
