Public Asset Pack Theme

  • Desert (Sand ground, new rocks, couple of trees, tents, sandy ruins, etc.) 61
  • Tropical (Palm Trees, Exotic fauna, leafy ground texture, waterfall?) 40
  • Wooden Fort (Like castle assets, but with wooden/wilderness vibes) 35
  • Underwater (coral, kelp, shipwrecks, the works) 34
  • Starter Token Set (theme TBD, likely commoners and/or common beasts? Basic party?) 30
  • Modern Day (this would need further exploration, but I'm thinking city streets to start) 19

Content

Hey folks!

With the release of the Swamp Assets a few days ago it is time to cast your vote on the next pack's theme! For those of you unaware, we conduct one of these polls with each release of these larger, public asset packs so that I'm creating content that is most in demand. In the past these public packs are typically more biome-focused (forest, snow, swamp, etc.), but especially as we have continued to grow the library we get to explore more niche themes as well.

In any case, please vote for any/all of the options below that interest you and the one that has the highest votes at the end of the week will be the next pack's focus! Most of them are pretty self-explanatory, but for clarity's sake I'm curious enough to include an option for a token-based option as well. As always, if there's anything you'd like to see that isn't included in the options below please comment and I'll see that it's considered for next time--several pack themes have come directly from patron suggestions!

Modern day would be great since I just started running a campaign with a modern day setting

Gezzer

I would have no real use for them at this point, but still see no reason why not. It'd be nice if they were designed so they were generic enough to be some what useful in non modern settings as well. But that might be difficult to pull off as well, so it's no biggy for me either way.

Gezzer

I'm interested in not so much more underwater, but shipwrecks instead. A modular system allowing for a lot of variations, and maybe even other forms of transportation with various levels of damage. Carts and wagons on fire, or jacked up and having a wheel replaced. Maybe a hot air balloon that's on the ground obviously punctured. A continuation of the train assets with wrecked cars and engines.

Phergus

I voted for Modern Day because the other options are all well-covered by hundreds of other artists. While Venatus' assets are obviously going to mesh well with his other assets it isn't that hard to find others that will as well. I don't do a lot of modern era gaming but when I have it's a real struggle to find assets for mapping. Tokens aren't as bad especially if you just use the round pog-style tokens. It's the many different environments that can exist that are a real challenge. Are we talking CoC 1930's modern Maybe some pulp noir style gaming? Maybe some urban fantasy set in the late 20th? And then post-apocalyptic or cyber-punk in the near future.

Modern Assets would be so useful. Very few people make them and I have been trying to find anything for a Modern day campaign
