Author's Note: This one is more of a nebulous idea. What if characters from Epic were in My Hero Academia. As in, reincarnated. Who would be who? What would their interactions be? They would still have their quirk, but in addition to their various divine abilities (though much, much weaker). I have written out several potential scene ideas if this were to gain any traction.

Momo Yoayorozu: AthenaIzuku Midoriya: OdysseusBakugou: AresNejire Hadou: AeolusKaminari: Zeus (There is some humor in placing him as one of the younger ones)Endeavor: Poseidon (For cruel irony, Poseidon is Endeavor and. When Shoto has boiling water poured on his face 'almost blinding his eye' he remembered his son polyphemus being blinded and has a breakdown. After his wife goes to the hospital, he tried to turn his life around.) These are just a start.

Pre-canon. Momo wakes up one morning and realizes she is the reincarnation of Athena. As the goddess of Wisom, she ‘woke up’ before anybody else. She is still mortal, but with some divine abilities. She finds Bakugo and Izuku. Bakugo is Ares, Izuku is Odysseus. Neither have their memories yet. Bakugo is still a bully towards Izuku, but it isn’t because of his quirk. Even without his memories, he unconsciously remembers how Odysseus was, and he wants to fight that. Izuku is more composed, but having been mortal, his memories are locked up even tighter. Momo/Athena decides to help her old friend once again.

Athena's PoV

Millenia ago, the Age of the Gods ended, and humans walked their own path. But though their age was over, the gods did not vanish. Diminished, weakened, they existed still.

They watched over humanity. Question: What connection does Ancient Greece have in common with a futuristic version of Japan?

… The day Athena figured it out, she would probably let the world know.

Athena, or Momo Yoayorozu as she was called in this life, sighed as she put yet another book on the shelf and began to pack up her things.

“Did you find everything you needed, Miss Yoayorozu?” One of the librarians asked from the desk.

“As much as I expected.” Momo answered easily as she walked by and out to see the future city of Japan.

It was quite the marvel. Far from the architecture of old, and as she climbed into the limo, she would admit its technology far exceeded Greece in its prime.

Momo could recall the exact day she remembered she was a goddess.

She almost wishes it were in her family's library or something. That would be most fitting, in her opinion.

But no, it has been whilst Momo was practicing with the staff against one of her tutors. He made a move that she shouldn’t have known, and couldn’t have countered… And instinct took over.

Later that day, Momo had been going over the incident in her mind. It hadn’t made sense - and she had mentally poked and prodded until something came undone…

And she was flooded with a couple thousand years of memories.

Momo Yoayorozu was Athena, Greek Goddess of Wisdom and Battle. Yet by that same note, Athena was Momo Yoayorozu, a child of Japan several thousand years in the future from what she could last recollect.

What happened? How? Why?

Questions that had led Momo to research, which led to unsatisfactory results.

The entire history of the Greek Pantheon… Gone. Faded into myth and legend, no longer believed in.

Momo had access to a portion of her own divinity, yet without worshipers or believers, it was but a fraction of what it should be.

It was an uncomfortable feeling, remembering the heights she’d previously been at. And, more importantly, the heights her enemies had been at.

Momo was weak. Worse, she was alone.

And she felt an overwhelming need to fix that.

It was probably this thought that let her feel it, during the drive back from the library. It was the barest flicker amongst her senses, but after being alone for years it lit across her senses like a beacon.

Divinity.

Momo found herself straightening in her seat, her breath catching in her throat.

Could it be?

“Young Miss?” The driver called back. “Are you alright?”

“I’m fine, Makoto.” Yoayorozu answered immediately, forcing herself to relax. “I thought I heard something is all.”

As soon as the driver turned his attention away, Momo closed her eyes and focused her power…

And her spirit left her body.

Her spirit form was a mix of her old appearance and new, adorned with greek armor and spear.

And she quickly sped towards the source of divinity.

At the speeds she was going, it took mere moments to find herself in front of a school. Before she had a chance to wonder where to go next, she heard a small explosion.

“C’mon and fight me, you coward!”

Momo sped towards the back, and saw a small crowd of students observing a fight.

Both fighters were dressed in a school uniform, though it was disheveled.

On one side stood a blonde with red eyes, explosions crackling at his fingertips. Immediately, Momo could tell that his form was impressive - he was a talented fighter. Very talented.

On the other side was a green haired boy. More wiry in form, he was impressively dodging each attack. Barely, perhaps, but doing so. But it was his eyes that impressed her - eyes that were analyzing everything.

Unfortunately, as skillful as his dodges were, the green haired boy was being overwhelmed. A fact that seemed to infuriate the blonde.

Momo watched for several seconds with a frown before closing her eyes to truly see.

And her breath caught.

The blonde held within him a divinity that was so familiar it ached. Bound tightly enough she doubted he had truly awakened, but enough for him to unconsciously remember some fighting moves.

Ares. Greek God of War. And her Brother.

But it was the other boy that truly held her attention.

It had no divinity. No power to speak of. But it was an old soul compared to the body it inhabited.

A soul she knew.

Odysseus.

Momo found herself completely blindsided. How? Why? What did this mean that Odysseus’ soul was here?

“I know you’ve got more than this, dang it! Stop dodging and fight!”

Ares’ shout brought her out of her thoughts just in time to see him landing a blow against Odysseus, who let out a grunt of pain.

Momo shoved her confusion to the side. It didn’t matter. Her oldest friend’s soul was bound even tighter than Ares was - he probably didn't have access to all of his knowledge.

Regardless, she would not stand still.

With a small smirk, Momo ‘walked’ over to Odysseus.

‘Need some help?’

With a focus of power, Momo let her power flow through Odysseus’ mind, speeding up his thoughts until the world stood still.

Understandably, Odysseus panicked, and she heard his thoughts. ‘W-what’s going on? Is time moving slow? Is this a quirk?’

‘No.’ Momo assured him with a quirk of her lips, his attention snapping to hers. ‘I just made your thoughts quick’.

He looked at her in confusion, taking in her form and apparel. ‘Who are you?’

Momo’s heart sank slightly, but she shoved it aside. She already knew he wouldn’t remember her.

‘My name is Momo Yoayorozu.’ Athena/Momo told him, the ghost of an owl appearing over her shoulder. ‘And you are?’

Odysseus stared at her in confusion for a moment longer before answering ‘Izuku Midoriya.’

‘Well, it’s a pleasure to meet you, such as it is. Now,” Walking over to stand next to her old friend, she lay her hand on his shoulder.

‘Let’s try this again, shall we?’

************************************************************************Forest Training Camp ArcZeus’ PoV

“So.”

Zeus withheld a groan, turning to look at his daughter, Athena, who was giving him a glare.

“Will you act now, father?”

Zeus sighed tiredly. “Must we go through this again?”

This whole trip was quite the bore. It was getting more and more tiresome to hide all of what he could do.

He fought Kronos in a battle that ripped apart heaven and earth. He had more experience with his powers than Aizawa could even imagine.

He was a little curious at how Aizawa would react to him showing.

And now their group was under attack yet again.

Good news in all this was that they’d probably head back now. No more of this pointless training and waiting around.

Athena frowned at him. “Are they not your friends as well? Have these months been for naught?”

“I never wished to come here.” Zeus snapped. “I have no desire to be here. Not to the school, and certainly not on this ‘summer trip’. Mortals such as these die all the time, that is nothing new. It is not appropriate for gods to -“

“We are not gods!” Athena snarled, and it almost drew the attention of the teacher.

Zeus raised an eyebrow, followed by flaring his divinity. Not enough for anybody to truly notice, but more than enough for Athena.

Athena rolled her eyes at the display. “We have no worshipers, and only a fraction of our true abilities. We are in mortal bodies, and are far from the country we originally ruled. Perhaps we are not even our true selves, and the memories of who we are were caught in these hosts by accident. I know not. However you wish to say it, we are no longer the gods we once were.”

Zeus grit his teeth. “That does not mean -“

“No. We are not mortal.” Athena allowed. “Not fully. But we are closer to it than we are gods.”

Zeus turned away from Athena and stared at the sky.

He could still feel his connection to it, dim though it may be. He usually took comfort in that… Yet right then, it seemed to be mocking him.

He knew that Athena spoke the truth. He might not know the particulars, nor does he particularly care as Athena might, but he’s known for a while. He’d just been… In denial.

“What do you intend to do?” Zeus asked.

Athena smiled, and it was not a happy smile. It was the smile of a war goddess. For the first time in a while, he truly saw his daughter in this host known as Momo Yoayorozu.

“I will bring battle to these fools that would dare attack those I call friend.” Athena stated, suddenly vanishing.”

Zeus sighed. How troublesome.

While not as hotheaded as Ares, his daughter did have her moments.

And… She might have a point.

Raising a hand, Zeus contemplated the lightning flickering between his fingers. Such a curious thing, this life of theirs was.

He then focused his power on one spark and launched said spark into the sky.

Zeus leaned back and focused on that spark as the teacher began to panic when he realized Athena was gone.

Far above, the heavens began to rumble.

Under his breath, Denki Kaminari began to sing. “Thunder Bringer, through the ringer, show them I’m the judgement call, the one who makes the kingdom fall…”

The sky rumbled ominously.

******************************************************************After Endeavor woke his memories and returned from sending his wife to the hospital

'You never knew what you truly had until you lost it.'

Endeavor collapsed on the bed, having just returned from the hospital. His kids were staring at him like they were terrified of him, and they didn’t know what was going on, and… And he just couldn’t. Not right now. He needed a moment.

Why in the name of Chaos and Order did he have to awaken right then? Why not a year earlier?! Even a day earlier and he could have -!

Endeavor had to prevent himself from shaking as the house shook with him. He could feel the pipes in the house, the water flowing through them. But… it hissed and steamed when he tried to touch it with his power.

He stopped himself. It would scare the children.

Looking around the room, he wanted to scream. He didn’t even have pictures of her here. Or of any of his children.

Is this the kind of man he was without his memories? What a horrible person.

After an unknown amount of time, he managed to get ahold of himself and stood up with determination.

Where one wave recedes, another will come back stronger, and so to would he.

He sensed the divinity within Rey. She was his Amphitrite. He had wronged her terribly these last few years - her and his children.

So it was time to change.

***********************************************************************—————————————- When Nejire Hado was first caught, the winds across Japan went still. Not noticeable in some areas, yet in others it was a stark difference. —————————————— “Compress! I thought you said you could hold her!” Shigaraki snapped.

“Normally it’s but a trifle.” Compress struggled as a marble in his hand struggled and jumped. “But this is… Different.”

Before Shigaraki could shout again, All-for-one leaned forward with an intrigued look. “Let her out. I’m curious now.”

Almost in relief, Compress threw the orb. As it landed, an explosion of wind pushed everybody back.

The girl came out far more prepared than most would. Long blue hair, her hands at the ready, “Who are you?” She said with unusual seriousness, “And where am I?”

“Fascinating,” All-For-One repeated. “You lied in the quirk registration about your quirk, didn’t you? I look forward to discovering what it truly is when I take it for myself.”

“Wait,” the girl went from serious to interested. “You went through the trouble of capturing me… To steal my power?”

All-for-one chuckled. “You catch on far faster than most my dear. “ Instead of looking worried or scared, the girl looked amused. “Well then, let’s play a game!”

“A game?” Shigaraki asked skeptically.

“That’s what I said,” Nejire smirked. “You’ve got the winds trapped in this building. Good job!” Her hair and clothes began to stir, her feet lifting off. “Keep me here for 24 hours, and I’ll let you have the power of the winds!”

“An unusual proposal.” All-for-one rolled his eyes. “Were I in a more lenient mood, perhaps. However…” his quirk activated, and he made to steal her quirk.

Yet the moment they made contact, they went through her, passing through as if she wasn’t there.

“I’ll take that to mean you accept!” Aeolus declared brightly, the winds building up around her. Slowly at first, but accelerating at a horrifying rate.

The others attacked. compress and Dabi especially, yet everything simply passed through.

And then a hurricane let loose in the warehouse.

A couple of Hera and Zeus scenes

“Till death do we part, and we parted indeed.”

“Those wedding vows weren’t even invented at the time.”

“But they are now.”

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“I do love you.” Hera said with tears in her eyes. “I did. And I will. We had so many good times, and made so many good memories I consider myself so very blessed. And yet for every good, there were several bad. When I wasn’t happy, I was crying. I’m sorry, but I can’t do it. Not anymore.”

Denki Zeus falls to knees and wails in grief, lightning shooting into the sky.
