ohhhh the Cyberman theme STAYS ON🔝 forget how hype it is every time until it comes back! a game of chess for the Doctor’s brain? nobody told HIM about beer pong huh 🙄 “is that an order, ma’am?”, “YOU’RE DAMN RIGHT” REALLY had me laughing 😆 not the fantastic and allons-y breaking our HEARTS 😭 Matt Smith ATE AND LEFT NO CRUMBS !!! CLARA DIDN’T WANNA BE QUEEN OF THE UNIVERSE BC SHE ALREADY IS, TELL EM AGAIN !!! 🗣️🗣️ yeah, not a great ep as far as Who goes and especially not amongst other Cybermen eps, but a fun standalone; promise these standalones pay off in the end 🙏🏻😅

That's my issue with Murry gold though everything has to have a "theme" it can get to the point where episodes don't have their individual feel, having said that Peter Howell composed a musical interlude that was used in two cyberman storys in the 80s is vastlly superior and creepier.

can definitely understand where you’re coming from, for anyone not a fan of hints or plots being tied together by music etc it could get tedious. I’m just a real lover of things being linked together by music in themes or even super short-lived motifs to give the audience hints that aren’t always super obvious; like how Murray Gold teased Amy and Rory’s farewell music in the episode before their farewell and unless you particularly noticed the song bc you liked it, you may never clock that it was connected; same as I only noticed on rewatching via Jay’s video that The Shepherd’s Boy theme (that I obviously wont clarify the origin of bc spoilers) was played very briefly in the 50th anniversary special !!! 🤩 much prefer that to the generic/barely there stuff we got after we lost Murray! 😅

Classic got away just fine without hand holding though! also teasing and motifs are fine as i stated but murray overuses ito the point where storys get deminished in favour of a big boistrous finally or KEY point in a season also Segun Akinola composions where great more in line with the creepir vibe doctor who is suppose to convey! I just think Murray big bombastic compostions ruin the vibe.
