I really love this episode. Mainly just for Clara getting to really step up and show just how well she really knows the doctor.

CRIMINALLY underrated ep, so glad you enjoyed it!! think this one gets thrown under the bus a lot w Fear Her and Love & Monsters (the episode that nobody ever talks about lmfao) in that it’s “companion focussed” w the Doctor not really being IN the ep that much, but of the ones that meet that criteria this is definitely the best; shines SUCH a spotlight on the Doctor and Clara’s relationship, that she understands how ruthless he is in lying to people to give them hope so they’ll follow instructions more effectively and MAYBE save themselves when he knows most of them probably wont make it - Clara sees the darkness in him for what it is and has no problem replicating that but is still surprised when he says “goodness had nothing to do with” her being an exceptional Doctor, bc despite all the darkness she knows exists in the Doctor she still sees him so fondly ☹️🩷 the concept/design for the Boneless is VERY cool, almost takes the Fear Her alien of turning people/animals/objects to drawings and turns it on its head! your hatred for that one guy was SO funny, the fact that from the get go the Doctor basically says “wow this guy has so little imagination the psychic paper doesn’t even work on him” - read to filth as he SHOULD 😭😭 AND MISSYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY 🤭🤭🤭 what does she mean she chose Clara? what for? chosen for something in the future or the past? FIND OUT IN THEEEE…..🥁🥁 UNSPECIFIC-NUMBER-OF-EPISODES-BC-WE-ARE-NOT-IN-THE-BUSINESS-OF-SPOILERS OOOOOOH SO INTENSE 🥸

love this episode! such a great “i’m the doctor” moment. in a recent turn of events, franz ferdinand brought peter out to sing Take Me Out with them at glastonbury on friday, it’s on youtube and is just a blast

Another fantastic episode. Jamie Mathieson really debuted his Doctor Who writing career with a bang, writing both Mummy on the Orient Express and Flatline. Fenton is spectacularly unlikeable- the actor did a brilliant job. I also find Clara's prioritisation in answering the 2 phone calls from Danny really interesting.
