Loved your reaction, Jay! I always love how attentive you are in your reactions, that being said, there's a few things I wanted to let you know for context. In Thailand a dowry is something that the groom/groom's family gives to the bride/bride's family and unless the bride's family explicitly says not to pay a dowry then not giving one can be a sign of disrespect to the bride's family and they have the right to break up the wedding. Knowing that makes the scene between Leng and Uncle Jim that much more heartwarming. And if Heart isn't subtitled, it's intentional. Li Ming has to figure it out, so do we.
