I will have to switch over to monthly billing soon. Patreon is making me. I made a few posts about it some time ago, I don't remember when, explaining the situation. But basically patreon is being made by Apple to force all users to switch to monthly billing, instead of per post and the like. They delayed that, but it's back again, and I need to switch next month.

I mostly publish a single chapter each month anyway, so it shouldn't change much.

I'm interested in yearly subscriptions if you'd like to go that route, but monthly is no problem. I wish Patreon would let me set the all of my subscription to renew on a particular day instead of the day I subscribed. I dislike how I get multiple charges during the month. Sorry, this turned into a general Patreon rant, and that's not why we're here (nor is that under your control). I'm going to go read now! Thanks for the chapter!

Thanks for the chapter. Blood Moon Ancestor seems like a fun guy for a mass-murdering monster. And I KNEW that wooden stake spell would end up being needed and that Marcus would have had it ready the moment he knew the place they were going was connected to this guy. Looks like Marcus had a small breakthrough there too, getting a better idea of how his spirit with his foundational technique. Ventine also mentioned he should be able to devour spirits too, so his technique definitely has aspects he's never been aware of. Unfortunately the fragment got away and seems to have marked Marcus as an opponent, whether for fun or because he thinks Marcus is trying to hunt him down to devour him. Marcus just can't get a break.

1>If you don't mind is the name of hegemon belongs to the Pillar of flame of strife?2> And are there other things different than blood (by that i mean a racial or ancestor advantage,or being some hidden sprit but not knowing himself) line in this story,like regulus(cricket might have too but not sure) has something especiall but marcus could not detect anything (other than soul and such affinities like how he could measure iris bloodline)?3> does marcus also has something hidden about him like zorian was especial but he did know himself ,or he just talented ?Or am I guessing wrong?

Hi, seeing as nobody has answered you yet (wait, this is confusing), I thought I'll give it a shot: 1. That's just not clear yet. Hegemon was mentioned only once (in the latest chapter), so we have no idea what it is. It might be a person or a faction. Seeing as the pillars can "acknowledge" people, they seem to have a will of their own, though we'll have to keep wondering for now. 2. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by that, but I believe you want to know whether there are other hidden or special traits a person can have beside the bloodline? If that's what you are wondering then yes. We learn of several characters where this would be the case. Renatus has a divine blessing which can't be detected by mortal magic. Everyone with a soul seed has some sort of soul protection. Some characters have special affinities, like Elid and Julia. Cricket is a special case, since she is clearly being built up for something, though we don't know yet. 3. There is nothing confirmed yet. There are a few strings that currently lead nowhere with Marcus. For example his unknown parents, the bounties which are likely connected to his foundational technique and his vague reasoning for staying on Tasloa instead of going to the outer planes and taking in a bunch of students. If someone sees a mistake, please point it out. Hope I could help!
