Hello!

Apologies for the short and rambling video today, but I've been a bit ill over the last couple of days. I still wanted to get something out while I work on the review though, so we're looking at Ichigo's True Bankai, as was revealed in episode 46, and what it means for the manga, his Blood Chains form, and everything in-between.

I clocked the different sword because you can see Ichigo fighting Ywach the whole time only using the white blade. He only drew the other sword at the beginning of Episode 6 when he disengaged the Blood Chain Bankai.

Could it be that we've had it wrong the entire time and Ichigo's smaller blade is his Hollow powers and his bigger blade is his Quincy powers? Then perhaps if the blade was put away (and seemingly vanished) as Ichigo went blood chains that it worked closer to something like a resurreccion with his Hollow blade reabsorbed into him. Then when he activated tensa zangetsu he didn't transform his own body because both blades became the new sword so he couldn't absorb his Hollow powers for resurreccion. Since they still describe his blood chains form as "half hollowfication", perhaps if he activated the form without his Bankai (and thus Quincy reiatsu) to balance it out, he'd fully hollowfy

To me Ichigo likely has a Quincy line but only with the short sword like he has the hollow line of Horn of Salvation and Blood Chains but only with the long sword with maybe the Shinigami powers being the base that everything else connects to as everything comes from his true Shikai which doesn’t show any non-Shinigami aspects, with HoS being Hollow and Shinigami, so whatever Quincy equivalent would be Quincy and Shinigami. It goes True Shikai -> HoS/Quincy equivalent -> Blood Chains/Quincy equivalent-> True Bankai which is essentially Blood Chains + the Quincy equivalent. However he can go from true Shikai -> true Bankai while for the Hollow and Quincy lines, he has to activate the Shikai version (HoS for example) to go to its respective Bankai version (Blood Chains for example). Idk if he can go from Blood Chains to true Bankai directly or if he has to deactivate Blood Chains to then go true Bankai though. Hell, it would be cool if in his Quincy line he gets wings like a vollstandig and if the Quincy bankai looks like the OG Tensa Zangetsu. Maybe one day he could use HoS with the Quincy Shikai thing at the same time by bringing both to the forefront somehow and I don’t see how why he wouldn’t be able to when he masters it

I mean he has two swords, so couldn’t it just be that he can go bankai with each sword individually and he can bankai with both at the same time
