I was never a fan of Teach as the final boss. I've wanted Imu to be the final villain for a very long time so the last few chapters feel very uncomfortable to read. When he stabbed Luffy, I thought this would solidify him as such, but.... Ahh... as long as he's still alive I can cope. I really don't want so much buildup to go to waste just like that.

I do feel that Imu getting taken down relatively quickly would feel rather anticlimactic. But Blackbeard needs the time as his central villain somehow.
